Food - Hit and Miss Service - A lot of room for improvement Staff - People with right attitude but needs a lot of training on skills development Will I go again - after 6 months when operations are fine tuned
Customer Service: We travelled 75 kms for a special dinner. I called in to book a table and I was told "Today is Tuesday so we will not be busy, no booking needed". When I insisted that without booking I am not driving over an hour to come to your place my details were taken for a booking at 07:30 pm.
I reach the restaurant at 7:27 pm with a party of 6 people. The restaurant was jam packed with people. I was asked to wait and by the time the table was provided it was 7:52 pm. When I asked "what happened to my booking, I see no table with 'Reserved' sign on it" the response was really frustrating from the staff "You called us at 04:52 pm while we open at 05:00 pm was we misplaced your booking.
This is very disappointing. When you advise your customer that the booking is taken, the customer expects a table for them.
Food: Food as seen in pictures ( I did forget to picture all items) was good when you consider all chats (5 tried) and Indo-Chinese food (4 tried). The curries (Dal tadka and Methi Malai Mutter Panner) had room for improvement. Dal Tadka was missing the second tadka. Thus, had no lusture or that kick. Rotis were great. Drinks were really good too. Thus, the food is acceptable and will become great.
Design Issues: The place looks great but the way few things are applied is questionable and results in hard life for staff and also customers. [1] No Pull/Push sign on the door. I observed 5 Adults and 3 kids getting this mixed up. It is a low cost but effective way to make people feel good.
[2] No waiting area for customers while busy/ No designated area for delivery drivers While we were waiting there were 13 people at the door in less than 4 meter area. They have a lot of extra chairs on level 1 and all needs to be done is to ask staff to direct the waiting people on level 1. Put 2 or 3 chairs under the stairs for delivery drivers to wait with proper signage.
[3] An innovative way for staff to get the food upstairs. I did notice some staff very uncomfortable on stairs with food. If this is done then, they can have 2 very nice...
Read moreFinally there’s a spot in Melbourne serving authentic indian vegetarian food. @laddugopal_veg offering mouthwatering street food options to diverse Indian mains to indulging desserts and drinks.
We had a gala time here exploring so many varieties of Indian delicacies from different cultures. Pani puri has my heart, it was so tasty and definitely reminded me of the streets of India.
Next up, we loved that crispy sabu dana vada, made with potatoes and sago, best paired with a sweet and sour chutney. Must try.
Achaari paneer, was just divine, soft fried cottage cheese laced in beautiful spices really made me fall in love with this place. Highly recommend
The curries are what you’re gonna come back here for again and again, the best part, all curries are mildly spicy and can be enjoyed by anyone and everyone. Both the soya makhani and mutter paneer were incredibly flavourful, delicious and truly irresistible.
We also tried the bhindi fried rice, and this one took us by surprise with it’s delectable flavours and taste. Must try.
Next up the amritsari kulcha served with choley, raita and butter, is a perfect meal if you’re craving for some home cooked Indian comfort food, this is it.
The coolers are very refreshing and yum.
The prices are incredibly reasonable and totally worth the best quality of food and taste. The service is prompt, and the staff and the owner are such welcoming, polite, kind people.
Loved the relaxing vibe here and it’s a family friendly restaurant. So definitely checkout this week/weekend @laddugopal_veg with your family for a sumptuous indian...

TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE, RUDE STAFF, IGNORANT OWNER. Foods not even up to standard as it used to be. I went here with good hope for the food but it was a TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE. There was a buffet system going on but can you imagine, more than half the things were empty. ONE OF THE WORST RATED RESTAURANTS $30 for THALI where half the food was empty and the other half was cold, chewy and rubber like As soon as we entered, the lady came to us and shoved the eftpos in our face and said pay. We need time to decide and look at the menu, but NO, they just wanted us to eat at the buffet and pay as soon as we entered.
Later, I asked the staff to fill one of the mains ‘Shahi Paneer’ as there was only gravy and not even a single piece of paneer. But they said that they will wait for the gravy to finish then they will add more paneer. WHAT RUBBISH, there was literally 3-4 serving spoons of gravy and they said they will wait for the gravy to finish so they can refill it. SERIOUSLY!!
Not only that, the naan was so chewy and rubber like, it was a terrible experience.
I wanted to give feedback, so I talked to the owner, instead he started twisting my words and was arrogant and ignorant. The service was slow, the staff was rude, some items were so cold and the other items were more than half empty. I expected better from this restaurant. Tbh, there are charging more then they should for the quality of the food as well. This was...
