This is such an authentic Malaysian restaurant in a very Western local business suburb. The seafood noodle with egg gravy is very good. Noodles had the 'wok hei'. And lots of different seafood, fish, prawn and char siu. The seafood crispy noodles is my favourite so far. Lots of different seafood, includes scallop, fish filet, big prawns, fish cake, etc. The sauce portion just enough for the dish that doesn't make the all noodles soggy. And it taste really good. Seatings are very comfortable, and walking distance to train station. This is my first time visit here, and I already love it. The only request is they don't provide chilli by default, it is request. This restaurant considered huge. Lots of 4 person tables and 2 large tables. I will definitely come back for more Malaysian classic dishes. Price is on high average given it located in a premium suburb. Food quality is very high in this restaurant.

This is a super chill Malaysian joint in the Yarraville village. We ordered the prawn wonton and bbq pork egg noodles along with a san choi bao(choice of meat - chicken) and fried prawn wontons. I have to first talk about the fried prawn wontons which were delicious( generous filling, non spicy and the sauce that accompanied was good). The egg noodles that could be split btw two people comes with a simple chicken broth which is not bombarded with flavours. You have prawn dumplings (juicy and soft) , couple of bbq pork pieces and bok choy along with the noodles. The san choi bao had a generous amount of chicken filling in the lettuce wrap. Overall the food is great, the staff is courteous and pricing is super affordable ( we paid $40 for 2 ).

Yarraville village Malaysian restaurant. Food is alright, but there are some hits and misses. Ipoh fried noodles had good seafood selection, but one of the prawns we had seemed off and dish was kinda pricey. Roti - plain store-bought roti literally for $6, should have pan fried instead of microwaving (at least it would be crispy on the outside and soft inside) and provide with some curry sauce (you do have option of ordering with curry chicken, or satay sauce - not typical Malaysian serving). Nasi Lemak - rice was soggy. Curry chicken and condiments were good. Overall, it’s alright if one’s lazy to travel further (eg Flemington) for Malaysian food.

I was disappointed by the Salted Fish & Chicken Fried Rice. It's my favourite fried rice and I order it from every restaurant I find that serves it. It was a disappointment that the chicken used was chicken breast. I thought as an Asian dish it would be chicken thigh. The dish was very dry and the chicken breast made it worse. The chicken also didn't have much flavour or seasoning. There was hardly any salted fish and the dish was overall undersalted. I had to add my own salt. For my tastes the fried rice could also have benefited from just a bit more oil. The texture of the rice was also not the best.

The chicken rice (side) was very, very mushy. It was closer to rice pudding than rice. Terrible.

The Sesame Prawn Toast...
