Laksa King Kitchen — Restaurant in Melbourne

The Beef Laksa was pretty good um well its just laksa eh huh so yeah thats what it is but i liked daddy food because it was yummy i liked the chicken curry in it and it was nice, i liked the rice because it was a bit sticky but i know daddy didnt like it because it was sticky but i liked it because it was sticky and i liked that and um this is another sentence by the way ermm well there were these cat robots that were really cool there was one of them that didnt come to us all the way because it got stuck in a chair um and that meant daddy had to get it fk u um daddy had to get but i thought it wasnt problematic but daddy thought it was the bit of a hassle um and he thought it was annoying that they even bothered asking for a tip because we had to order our own food and and um wait what shut up and we ahd to order our own food and um im just trying to think of what we said please you didnt write it your meant to be my scribe i just your my scribe not that youre meant to be my scribe youre not really a good scribe are you youre not a good scribe are you i said umm anyway back to what i was saying i um oh yeah daddy thought it was a big deal that they asked for a tip um even because the people because its we had to order our own food so he was like who are we even tipping except the manager um so he got a bit mad at that im just saying truthfully okay and then he said it was cool to scare the kids and look at them funny but its his own problem and not anything to do with the resturaunt um anyways um the uh what else happened oh yeah daddys one was pretty yum uh yeah um what is it daddy uh ill try remember it myself because hes not talking to me i think it was called um uh nasi lemak and he got that and it was very good um i really um liked it we got the chicken one by the way um and the chicken curry was actually so good i actually love these types of curries the chicken curry was actually um the chicken was really nice and tender and the curry was super super flavorful im trying to be like karissaeats right now what does she say um super delectable um nyeah so that was the chicken curry i liked the rice but there was a little too many nuts and anchovies and onions but i didnt have to eat them but daddy actually mixed them all together because hes a bit of an idiot so i had to eat those anchovies so yeah um that was the food was good overall i rate it a good stars out of a good stars and they gave us water as well and um daddy probably thought it was a huge problem to pour it ourselves n he lied to me saying that when he worked at pancake parlor hed have to bow when he poured water just uh one more sentence um so yeah overall it was very good and it was very nice and pretty and they have fairy lights and real trees in the place so thats really good and i really liked the whole aesthetic of the place and it was really pretty and its um actually a fun fact this is the last thing i pinky promise actually when anyone is walking in wait no no not that when when when you walk towards the laksa king it actually covers the the laksa most of the laksa part and so actually it looks like it says a king so thats um cuz theyre tryna make it look like a king cuz it there were cat waiters um yeah wait what did you say cuz they're tryna make it look like a king so ill just say that part again cuz i dont know what you typed im nearly done i promise so it says a king and so it looks like it says a king so that s really cool so its really funny and the thing with the cat waiters and it because it says and of no no no before before oh omg i have to say the sentence again its funny because they have cat waiters which they did on purpose because who is the king of the jungle the lion so that means that the who is no who is the distant relative of a lion its a car there all part of the cat family because theyre all part of the cat family because theyre a lion and theyre a king so thats why it called laksa king so thats a funny story for you thats all not a funny story...

No stars for service. Southland store terrible service! Tonight was HORRENDOUS service for takeaway! The worst we have ever had at any restaurant we have ever been to. We have been coming to laksa king for years, since it opened in southland. We treat ourselves to laksa king usually once every month. We have always been happy with takeaway and dine in. But tonight was shocking. We called to order, we ordered 4 items. They told us 15 minutes. We arrived at 5.35pm to get there on time, annd after also ordering other food at a neighboring restaurant, we got there on time. That food from the other restaurant was ready on time, but laksa king food wasn’t ready until 1 HOUR LATER!! Every time we asked where our food was they said ‘5 more minutes, 5 more minutes’. Instead of 15 minutes it was 1 hour! The food we picked up from the other restaurant was now cold! AND to make things worse when we got home, the confit duck and the roti bread was freezing cold because they must have been ready on time but because the other food wasn’t, it was just sitting there. The food Is not cheap, that was a $95 bill and the confit duck which is the most expensive was freezing cold and hard and dry. We are not happy at all! I will be leaving a negative review! We asked to be compensated for the food that was now cold and were told no! This isn’t how you treat regular local customers, serving them cold food and asking them to still pay for it. And to add to this, the duck laksa which is usually a sure thing, the duck in it was so so dry! Either their chef is also different or tonight was just a disaster. Terrible service and terrible response when we were asked to wait 1 hour, with no compensation for it at all. Others were walking in and ordering after us and leaving with their...

The manager is not a nice person, she refused to give myself and my 6 year old daughter who has special needs a table to eat. The restaurant was empty with only two tables with people eating. I specifically go to restaurants outside of lunch peak times and dinner peak times as it becomes overwhelming for my daughter. It was Friday 4pm and we would have finished within less than an hour before dinner service. I asked for a 4 seater table because of the extra things I need for my daughter's special needs and she kept refusing and would only allow us to sit on a 2 seater table. I kept trying to discuss it with her and she made excuses of the table is reserved so I asked if all the tables were reserved too. She didn't answer my question and kept saying 2 seat. I said so you are refusing to serve us and she replied with 2 seat grinning. I decided to leave and eat at another restaurant as I will not give my business to those that cannot be inclusive of all especially children with special needs. I am sincerely grateful to this manager for showing me her true colours because her energy reflects the food that would enter our bodies. I would not recommend this restaurant, and I choose not to support a business that cannot be inclusive of special...
