Markos Greek Kitchen Bar — Restaurant in Melbourne

Absolutely amazing food, fresh straight off the gyro. The team always go above and beyond to ensure our complicated orders are met, even with heaps of adjustments and add-ons. Not to mention Marko is always welcoming upon our arrival, which makes the entire experience just that so much better. The quality of the food and meat especially is very high compared to other local shops around - there are a couple of other Greek wakeaway restaurants in the area, however, they are not only overpriced, but also no where near as good quality as you'll get at Marko's.

Overall, I wish I could rate them 10 stars, as mentioned, their service is above and beyond, just as the food is. For this, I keep coming back. There is no self control. Delicious food. The loukaniko is to die for. Drooling just writing...

Not often you experience a visit to a restaurant as totally positive from beginning till the end. Mid afternoon Christmas Eve, with a lot of places in the Spotswood, Newport, Williamstown area closed, we stopped at this little shopping centre where there was a choice of a bakery, a pizza place, fish&chips, and Markos the Greek restaurant on the corner. The smell from the grill in Markos attracted us first. The vision of the bowls of chunkie lemon potatoes was the next attraction. The third attraction came from the immediate and friendly greeting and service from the two young staff members. Culminating in the delicious grilled meat, salad, chips, the lemon/garlic potatoes, followed by a greek coffee and dessert. Great food and service. Today, i was hungry after working, it was 4 pm, what can i get take away?Well been here when the previous owners, never went back. Thought today i would try again. Surprise, beautiful Greek happy people have recently taken over and my souvlaki was what i remember one to be, but could not find one anywhere. Use to go to Lambs in Carlton wow 30-40 years ago after chevron 3am for the best souvlaki ever. The sweets i saw amazing, i will definitely be going back and recommending this to everyone to try! Greek food needs to be cooked by Greeks! I need to try the cakes. Also like to say my souvlaki was like a meal, everything in it and filling. Try you too will be coming back i hope to congratulate...
