Fusing western style dishes like burgers and fried chicken with Indian flavours, the newly opened MasalaJo takes street food to a new level.

Visiting for dinner we ordered the Jo’s Burger, not so classic loaded fries, original wingettes & drumettes, spiced taters, cauli bites, banana fritz and a Mango iced tea.

I really loved the Indian twist on all the dishes. The spices, sauces and seasoning added so much flavour, I couldn’t get enough. The Jo’s burger may look like a regular cheeseburger but the signature sauce makes it so much better. The Cauli bites were juicy and the loaded fries topped with chicken tikka masala were highly addictive.

If you’re after something sweet the banana fritz are a great take on banana fritters. Whilst the homemade mango iced tea was sweet and refreshing.

If you’re in the North Melbourne area I highly recommend checking out MasalaJo. Their food is also well suited for takeaway. Everything we ordered was delicious and team are so friendly. I rate Masala Jo ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ out of 5. Thanks very much...

I was looking through eatclub and saw this restaurant for the first time so I thought I'd give it a try after looking at their menu. I tried the deal and went with my partner. We had the fries, classic chicken burger and simply jo beef burger, with potato cakes, and a mango iced tea. A small store but was pleasantly surprised at the burgers. The taste of the burgers is different from the normal burgers you get at the usual burger joints. This is an indian take on the usual burgers. Really enioyed the chicken burger, the beef burger was ok, the patty was quite thin but was good overall. The potato cakes had a lot of flavour and is very different from the normal potato cakes you generally get but they are much smaller as well but it definitely tasted nice. Was good to try it. Good customer service as well. The mango iced tea was very refreshing as well. That was their home made iced tea, would definitely...

I’ve been coming to MasalaJo with family and friends for quite some time now, and it continues to be one of those rare places that never misses. The food is bold, full of soul, and always leaves you wanting just one more bite.

What truly makes the experience special is the warm, personal touch. Pankaj and Prabha and all other staff are amazing..they don’t just take your order, they tune in! Tell them what you’re craving and they’ll work their magic, often recommending something you didn’t even know you needed. And every time it's spot on!

Whether it’s a wrap, burger, or snack box, every dish feels crafted - not just cooked. Hands down the best food experience in Melbourne. There’s a sense of playfulness and passion here that makes every visit memorable.

This isn’t just a spot for good food. It’s a place that gets it - flavour, service, and vibe....
