Restaurant Review: Three Crowns Hotel, West Melbourne
If you're seeking a dining experience that combines exceptional cuisine, friendly service, and outstanding value, the Three Crowns Hotel in West Melbourne is a must-visit. This family-owned pub offers a culinary journey that rivals many upscale restaurants, all within a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
Exceptional Cuisine
As a self-proclaimed Chicken Parmigiana connoisseur, I can confidently say that the version served here is unparalleled. The chicken was succulent, juicy, and cooked to absolute perfection. The toppings were harmoniously balanced, enhancing the flavors without overwhelming the palate. It's, without a doubt, the best Chicken Parmigiana I've had the pleasure of tasting in my 55 years.
My partner's Steak Sandwich was equally impressive. Cooked to a perfect medium, the steak was tender and flavorful. The thoughtful selection of toppings complemented the dish beautifully, making each bite a delightful experience.
Outstanding Value
What truly sets Three Crowns Hotel apart is its pricing. Compared to other pubs in the area, the meals here are exceptionally reasonable. The quality of the food far exceeds expectations, especially considering the affordability. It's a rare find to enjoy such high-caliber dishes without straining your wallet.

The staff at Three Crowns Hotel further elevate the dining experience. Their friendly and attentive service exceeded all expectations, making us feel like valued guests from the moment we arrived. It's evident that the team takes pride in their work, contributing to the pub's inviting and hospitable atmosphere.

Read moreOur local pub just up the street from us. We popped in for a post-gym feed and were pleasantly surprised by both the quality and value. We ordered the steak special and the classic schnitzel, both hearty, generously plated, and satisfying.
The steak, while cooked a touch more than medium rare, was still tender and high quality. The schnitzel, however, stole the show, crisp, golden crumb with great seasoning and a juicy interior. The chips were spot on: crunchy on the outside, fluffy inside. Sides impressed too, with a fresh coleslaw and a well-balanced vinaigrette on the salad.
Service was quick and attentive, making the whole experience even better. Great value, solid pub fare, we’ll definitely be back.
Edit: since the first time we’ve been back a few times and even going again next week for our mid week post gym feed. Steak has been consistently great since the first time, the jerk chicken is insane!!! The snitz, can’t go wrong. Hearty, wholesome, and quality. 5/5 for a pub feed with good vibes and...
Read moreCame back for the steak night 2 weeks consecutively. I have to say my steak was more cook on the medium side of medium rare. But my 13yo son gave the steak roll a really, really good 10. Better than the allansford Hotel, one by far, he said. Over all another good experience.
5 start for a pub steak and pub service.
Meals came out in a reasonable fashion, all presented well and cooked to perfection 👌. There weren't any negative comments for the 7 people at our table. They definitely need to consider getting Dianne sauce on the menu 😁
The only thing I can pick on is the music was a bit loud where we were sitting to have our dinner. Possible look at acoustic treatment in the dining areas.
Parma nice last week, 3☆ parma, and had high expectations after the face that they do killer 5☆ steaks. It was OK I guess, real chicken, fresh ingredients but just didn't hit like other places, I've had many...
