If you can AVOID this store. Second attempt and some of the sweets are not fresh and hard. We offered feedback about our previous experience of buying a kilo of stone hard sweets (keshmeshi) as we went back for another try and had already purchased one and half kilo of sweets. My partner said - word to word- “it wasn’t a nice experience and we couldn’t believe it”. The lady responded: “ and how are you expecting us to believe it?” To the team at Candoo: we drive to your shop from far, and spend hard earned money. We didn’t offend you, and were not rude. We brought you business by purchasing more, so your behaviour was not appreciated. Feedback only helps to improve your business but seeing the reviews here and the way you have responded to them, and our first hand experience, clearly customers and improvements is not your priority, and I don’t know what it is. Shame. We won’t be back.
Responding to your reply down here, which leaves much to be desired. Do you think it is alright to call your customers liars? Do you think your business is so important that so many people have just something personal against you, and will spare precious time to write false reviews for the sake of it? Did you even read my review properly? I said we purchased Keshmeshi last time and it was not fresh and we offered you feedback yesterday in store. We purchased zaban yesterday, and they are hard and not fresh. But hey, you don’t care do you? I’m sorry if were polite enough to not give you an attitude at the store, and I’m sorry we gave your business another chance and you another chance to call us a liar. Won’t happen again. Wrap your head around the fact that this is not Iran. People offer feedback here, and review it as opportunity for improvement. People are polite, but also won’t be ripped off. This is not the way you do business here. You would have realised that long ago if you hadn’t been so full...
Read moreThis was one of my WORST experiences in pesian sweets. When it comes to Iranian sweets, specially the ones that are quite iconic, I expect a fresh, well balanced tasted and appealing ones. I brought from 4 iconic types of Persian sweets as you can see in my photos. The choux pastry(Noon khameii) in its freshest condition should be light, airy and crisp surface. After days, it gets soft. As you can see in my photo, it was not fresh but quite old and soft. The napoleon cake that is layers of puff pastry, should be firm and well cooked as well but it is obvious in my photo that was soft and poor in quality. Cream in all 3 types I tested(napoleon, roulade and choux) was not a kind of fresh house made cream. I am quite familiar with cooking and it was not a fresh natural cream. In my mind "maze" had some sort of good reputation and I expect more commitment. NEVER Come back to this store. 27AUD for around 800 of this quality was hundred percent...
Read moreThe sweets have always been good, however we were disappointed by the Faloodeh and the saffron “ice cream”, the Faloodeh was just frozen rice noodles with sugar and water, it had absolutely no flavour whatsoever, the saffron ice cream wasn’t any better, it was saffron mixed with water, a bit of milk and rose water that had been topped with a bunch of pistachio, you can’t even call it ice cream, it’s just ice. We had to dig into it with a knife to be able to eat some and it tasted horrible, this saffron “ice cream” and the Faloodeh are both an insult to Persian desserts and you should stop selling them to avoid ruining your reputation, the company that makes these horrible and low quality frozen desserts is incredibly dodgy, do not purchase any products from that company/brand in the store (the brand of these...
