I never usually give negative reviews but this has been happening for the last 2-3 weeks. I am a regular customer of this shop.
Firstly the food is amazing and I am extremely happy with it but they need to hire someone who can take orders correctly. This is the 3rd time they have messed up my order.
Last week I ordered 2 zatar and cheese with olives and girl who was taking order her englsh wasn't very good and I repeated my order 3-4 times, when I reached the shop they made four of them however the girl only charged me for two and apologized and said the girl is new here.
Today I wanted to order through uber eats pick up so I don't have to call them but it was only showing delivery no pick up for this shop so I try ordering over the phone and two different ladies tried to take my order and I was clearly saying I want to order Zatar and cheese with olives and I don't know why she was hearing spinach and cheese, it's such a different pronunciation. Anyways I cancelled everything and said I'll come to the shop.
When I reached the shop, I showed them a text on my phone written below
1 Zatar and cheese add olives
1 Zatar and cheese add olives tomato and mushrooms
this was the best I could've done to make sure they made it right. Still I don't know why she keep repeating vegetable Zatar has this already and she will add mushrooms I don't know what she understood even though I clearly showed my order on the phone but I am not ordering vegetable Zatar and unfortunately I didn't check my food at the shop and reached home only to find out the order is wrong. They made two vegetable Zatar one with olives and the other one with mushrooms and it has capsicum as well which I don't like, no doubt the food is amazing but they really need to take...
Read moreI had a disappointing experience at One Way Bakery and won’t be returning. The bakery only accepts cash, which is not advertised at the entrance—forcing customers to either leave or go to an ATM. It’s frustrating and frankly humiliating to be turned away over something as basic as payment options.
While I was there, multiple customers faced the same issue. In today's world, where card payments are standard everywhere, refusing them isn’t about “keeping costs low”—it’s just inconvenient for customers. A good business balances costs with customer satisfaction, and driving people away isn’t a sustainable strategy. Judging by other reviews, I’m not the only one frustrated by this, yet the owner continues with excuses instead of adapting.
If you value convenience and a customer-friendly experience, I’d recommend going elsewhere.
I appreciate the response, but based on past reviews, this isn’t the first time you’ve promised to implement in-store card payments—yet nothing has changed. If you do follow through this time, great. Customers will hold you accountable for any further delays or broken promises.
However, what you haven’t addressed is the lack of transparency. Many customers, including myself, were caught off guard by your cash-only policy. A simple sign at the entrance would set the right expectations, yet despite years of complaints, you’ve chosen not to do this. That speaks volumes about your operational integrity.
As for raising prices to cover transaction fees, that should be the customer’s choice—many would happily pay a few extra cents for the convenience of using a card. Businesses evolve to meet customer needs, not the other way around.
All the best, and I hope you genuinely follow...
Read moreBeen visiting here for over a year and the food and staff is just as good as it was before - I would say even better! 🧡
You can tell that the owner has put a lot of heart and soul into the business. From the clean aesthetic vibe of the restaurant to the quality connections he makes with everyone that walks through the door.
It’s very rare for me and my partner to come by to a cafe, bakery or otherwise week after week. It’s our go to spot and it never disappoints.
What I love about it here is that they actually make the Chai Lattes well. It can be so disappointing when you go to a cafe and they make the chai so weak you can tell they’ve skimped on the powder to save money. I always ask for extra spice powder here and the staff always make it so that it actually tastes like a chai latte and not slightly sweetened milk. I rarely order chai lattes anywhere else because they make it so good here 🤍
As a vegetarian, it’s so refreshing to see a bakery offer such an extensive range of veg options without bordering basic or boring. The JouJou is always a hit for me and my partner loves the Zataar Hummus wrap. We come by every week to eat the same thing and it hits every time 🙌🏼
It’s been so lovely to see this business thrive. I always see new faces each Saturday and I know it’s because of how amazing the whole dining experience is. You’ll want to spend a good hour or two here cozying up in the booths.
My #1 recommendation for anyone wanting good food for the weekend (and especially at a good price!)
I’ll be back again this Saturday -...
