I'd give no stars based on the atmosphere alone. I hadn't been to this McDonalds in years and we won't be going back (admittedly a lot would be out of control of the store/staff). It started off with us not even being able to get into the car park because the line from the drive through was blocking the entrance. After waiting ages we got in, got parked and walked into the dirtiest, most chaotic McDonalds. There weren't any clean tables to sit at. We made do with the cleanEST table. Then when we needed to go to the toilet we had to ask to be let in (a good idea and obviously needed but not having the desired outcome) when we went into the toilet, the disabled toilets smelt like people had been smoking in there, there was freshly burnt stuff on the sink, there was graffiti everywhere. Then another family member used the mens toilet and there was a used syringe, a dirty pad (yes in the mens toilet) and poo on the sink. It was safer to not bother washing hands.
In terms of service and food. We had to order on the self serve so service was near non existent, food didn't taste fresh but wasn't horrible as far as McDonalds goes and there weren't spoons so we had to eat McFlurries with forks. Also very stingy on the Oreos in the McFlurry compared to other stores.
I know a lot of these issues aren't a fault of the staff. I wouldn't usually leave a bad review but Maps asked me to & I thought it'd be best to let people know, especially those with young kids, go and find another alternative on your beach days. This isn't where you want to take the family.
Editing to add suggestions After reading other reviews I can see that what we experienced is an all too common occurrence here. Given that McDonalds is a multimillion(or billion) dollar company I think it would be reasonable you hire permanent security here, a permanent cleaner and don't scar people that are new to the work force by employing them here. Given the crowd this store attracts employing a majority of senior, more confident staff would...
Read moreJust went through the drive through got an iced latte with my meal, was supposed to be strong however tasted like milk and was full of coffee grinds all through it so I called and asked can I get a refund and come in tomorrow, they said no, I said can I can get a refund and I’ll come back now with the product and he said my manager said no we can’t process refunds I just asked who the managers name was and I was told Samantha. So I came in and asked Samantha for a refund she angrily came over and said I can’t give you a refund because there’s nothing wrong with it you’ve got the product, I said I’m returning it because it’s full of coffee grind, she then took the coffee looked at it and said nothing and took it and put it in the bin. Then she reiterated “so I can give you a voucher or a new one” I said no I just like a refund please I already had a new coffee in my hand from 7/11 and she said I can’t give you a refund, I said yes you can because I’ve given you back a product that I can’t consume she then tried to reiterate it again before opening up the till and processing the refund, slamming the money on the table and walking away muttering something about me exercising my rights. Im sorry Samantha that you work somewhere that cares more about looking good than actually being good and that the little refund processed today will reflect poorly. Maybe maccas can take it in their stride and actually reflect on the continuous lack of customer service that makes people want to “exercise their rights”. Won’t have to worry about me, I won’t be back again, have a good day I’m sorry a refund caused...
Read moreAugust 7, 2025 | 17:30–18:00 I never thought I’d have to check Google reviews before eating at McDonald’s.
Having served as a senior executive in Asia, I’ve never seen such a chaotic scene — especially when the store wasn’t even busy. I don’t understand how three to four orders could overwhelm supposedly trained staff. I even saw what was in those orders. Staff were eating at the service counter — fully visible to customers — with absolutely no sense of professionalism or discipline. Unbelievable.
Let’s talk about the food. The bacon in my burger was literally as hard as a rock — good thing my teeth still remember being thirty. The entire meal was just lukewarm at best, and the box was so greasy it could’ve doubled as a deep fryer. To top it off, watching staff handle semi-finished food with their hands — gloves or not — was absolutely vile. Just because you’re wearing gloves doesn’t mean hygiene is optional.
After waiting 20 minutes for what should’ve been a five-minute order — nuggets, a burger, and fries — I was handed a meal that looked and tasted like an afterthought. It’s beyond me how this team manages to pass even the most basic hygiene checks, let alone annual microbiological inspections. Either they’re magician-level con artists, or someone up the chain stopped caring a long time ago.
I don’t know what’s going on at this McDonald’s, but I sincerely hope you get it together. Take more responsibility in your work — your attitude today will shape your life tomorrow. If you’ve gotten used to slacking off, you’re already losing more than...
