My go to ‘Escape from home to do paperwork’ cafe. I have the attention span of Dory so will head here some mornings to get paperwork done so I am not distracted by things at home.
Probably the only McDonald’s I have come to trust to get a DECAF coffee (most times) and still be enjoyable. I have decaf due to migraines. My trust is easily broken when a cafe gives be normal coffee. The decaf options at general cafes have generally always been bitter and why I opt for mocha to compensate.
I have heard not so nice conversation about ‘why bother with decaf’ and so on. It happens EVERYWHERE. I always try so hard to not my tongue because I would love to help develop peoples mentality about decaf.
Decaf is also a popular choice for people who suffer severe anxiety. Racing heart too especially if you’re not a consumer of caffeine in general.
The yelling back and forth between staff for drive thru is the biggest let down of this store. Whilst they’re all amazing and the service is great. (Please don’t hate me) The yelling can be loud and overbearing. Surely a better way to communicate can be established?
The only other fault would be the cleanliness. Whilst I’m a little OCD, majority of the surfaces are so dirty. I think the materials for a lot of the surfaces don’t work in this locations favour. The black surfaces show every single finger print and it’s always unappealing.
Management should definitely sit at different angles and lighting and see what shows up on all the different surfaces. Whilst tables are the go to with cleaning there definitely needs to be a lot of other cleaning going on here.

Read moreI dined here on Saturday - 5:30am 18/8/2018 on the way to the snow with a few friends. Well what can I say, the boys were in for a real treat!. Whilst I was rubbing the sleep out of my eyes and adjusting to the bright lights the dazzling HD quality of the screens that made my stomach yearn for a feed. The staff were keeping their heads and their cool with the bulk family orders coming in. It was surprisingly busy at that time in the morning, however the team was communicating well and smiles were on, which is always a good sign for a meal to come.
We all doubled down on a meal and additional burger to really pump those calories in before hitting the slopes. Now, if you imagine the (unbelievable) adverts on TV, this experience was far better.
I have to say you could really tell that the burgercraftswomen took pride and passion in making the meals, something you'd rarely see at that early hour. Every element of the burger and Mcmuffin was stacked with such clinical precision reminiscent to that of a surgeon or a land mine technician.
My experience here in Pakenham South has restored my faith in Mcdonalds and was far better than the pure human misery that they serve up to the disillusioned punters in Frankston, Elsternwick and South Melbourne. Oh and the coffee was good too. Keep the dream alive. Thanks Nick, 26 -...
Read moreThe last two occasions I have visited the restaurant, they have been very un-customer focussed. Furst hand I've experienced very poor customer handling, unnecessary waiting, wrong orders or mixed up orders amd been made to feel bothersome when querying how much longer past 15minutes did I need to wait. I have also witnessed much of the same with other customers.
Todays visit the girl who took my order rushed me and wouldn't allow me to use my MyMaccas app, so I end up paying an extra $8 more than I expected. Then the person who served us our meals through the window nearly dropped the drinks which were handed individually, not in a cup tray, and after breaking the lid on one drink, she didn't bother replacing it and told us to hold it from down tbe bottom, after we left drink then spilled in the car because I instinctively grabbed the drink...
