We visited Mezze Restaurant on Valentine’s night as a group of 8 adults and 2 children, and unfortunately, our experience fell well below expectations.
The venue felt extremely cramped. Even though the restaurant was only half full, our table was placed so close to others that it was difficult to move without disturbing those around us. It felt more like dining on a crowded bus than enjoying a relaxed meal.
The food was very disappointing. For $85 per person, we expected far better quality, variety, and presentation. The meal started with four very small plates of dips shared between every four people. The deep-fried vegetables, including broccoli, seemed like an odd choice and were completely burnt. We were served just two small plates of eggplant and zucchini for the entire table of 8 adults, along with two small plates of rice.
The meat dishes were equally underwhelming — one skewer with four small pieces of meat that were burnt and blackened, a single small piece of chicken per person, and two tiny pieces of mince meat each.
The fruit platters at the end felt like an afterthought, with only two small plates for 10 people, consisting of basic fruits like orange slices, watermelon, rockmelon, and just a few slices of strawberry. The entire meal felt rushed and lacking care, as though corners were being cut at every stage. While the staff were friendly and attentive — the one positive from the night — it wasn’t enough to make up for the disappointing food and overall experience.
To add to the frustration, the restaurant did not allow us to split the bill. With a set-price menu, this should have been a simple request, but it was refused, making the end of the night even more inconvenient.
Unfortunately, we won’t be returning, as we left feeling quite let down and overcharged for what...
Read moreWe visited this restaurant back in 2021 before the renovation and had a great experience, so we decided to return with friends, expecting the same quality. What a mistake! This place has gone completely downhill.
First, they charged our kids $65 each for nothing more than stale chips and a few meatballs—an absolute rip-off. The music kept cutting out, creating an awkward atmosphere, and the belly dancer’s fire performance filled the room with smoke, making it uncomfortable to breathe.
The food was disgusting—either burnt, overly salty, or dripping in oil. I paid $85 and left starving because everything was inedible. The chicken thigh was raw—bright red inside! It was so undercooked I couldn’t even touch it.
And the dessert? A few slices of fruit. Seriously? Back in 2021, they served baklava, a proper Turkish dessert, which is what you’d expect from a set-menu restaurant—not some cheap fruit plate.
They never told us we could ask for more main courses, but honestly, even if they had, we wouldn’t have wanted more—because the food was that bad. On top of everything, the owner’s responses to negative reviews are shockingly rude, showing just how little they care about their customers.
This used to be a fantastic restaurant, but now it’s one of the worst dining experiences we’ve ever had. We were embarrassed to have brought our friends here. Save your money and go...
