So, I’m really struggling with this review, as we just discovered Micah’s and it’s only a few minutes away from our house.
On the one hand, I want to write a review praising the food, coffee, and lovely people so more folks will support this local business.
On the other hand, as I can see myself going back to Micah’s on a weekly basis, I don’t want to make it so rightly popular that I won’t be able to get a table!
This place is a gem. The coffee is some of the best in Melbourne (and we love coffee). My wife had the steak pie, which had clearly been baked on site. I had the triple cheese steak baguette, and as others have mentioned, it is unbelievably good: the melty cheeses, the fresh baguette, the delicately sautéed steak, the tangy Parmesan crisp. I got mine with a salsa verde, and it all melted in my heart. We also shared a cinnamon scroll, and I think they used fresh cinnamon in it.
The staff are so friendly, not just with us but with everyone there - it felt like a family-friendly, community cafe, but with five star food and coffee.
I would drive 30-45 minutes just to eat here. Luckily I’m only five...
Read moreCame here for the first time today and it didn’t disappoint! Lots of coffee options for the coffee connoisseur but equally if you just walk in and ask for a latte you’ll get an amazing coffee. Had the ham cheese tomato croissant and it was amazing! Best I’ve ever had in my life. Cheese was super melty, tomatoes tasted home grown and the ham was super flavourful. It came with relish on the side and that was also delicious! We came with our dogs on a hot day and they came out to give us karabiners to secure their leads. They also brought us out a large dog bowl with fresh, cool water. Amazing service, everyone there was happy and helpful. We will definitely be back!! Great spot if you want a snack or treat + a coffee, they don’t really have main menu type options. Lots of parking options in the large car park right out the front. They have benches for waiting out the front, could be even better if they had a couple...
Read moreBest specialty coffee shop out east. Owner really cares about his offering. Filter menu is 15+ coffees available, when I order espresso he often finds something interesting to see if he gets a rise out of me, last time I went he tried a couple of filter roasts as espresso and it just woke me up! The floral and citrus was ooooooft! But the acidic qualities were well balanced. I’m so glad he trialed these on me.
Heaps of brew gear available, as well as a stack of beans for sale from various roasters. He’s started selling some China coffee as of recent, this one is a bit newer to me but yeah wow keep opening my eyes to this please.
Here’s a weird one, as a black coffee ristretto drinker I actually recommend their own blend coffee bean called Micah-redemption it’s superb with or without milk but still has a stack of character and...
