Luck plays a role in finding great new places that can become favourites. This one is now on my list. A beautiful mild, sunny day only added to the experience.
New tastes from a brunch menu that gives vegan options, I chose the Raspberry ricotta hotcake and, for drinks, the Passion-berry smoothie with a booster of camu camu.
The large smoothie (approx 500ml) includes yogurt, passionfruit, berries, banana, cranberry, caramelized buckinis and milk. Drunk via a wide straw! Buckini is a seed that has been activated to release its nutritional value and camu camu, I was told, possesses the highest natural form of vitamin C to date. Delicious.
A vegetarian dish, the hotcake is one large and thick (around one inch) serving that reminds me of a wonderfully light teacake. Topped with seasonal fruits, assorted seeds, crunchy butterscotch sauce and fresh cream. Yum. I will reserve this dish for special treats.
Offerings: All day brunch menu giving vegan options, and some new taste combinations. Good drinks range including filtered water. Kids menu. Outdoor seating on the footpath. Toilets. Waitress Natalie provides excellent service. Seeing a couple of pregnant women eating here is a...

Prompt service with a smile in a simple but inviting environment:) Water was delivered to the table along with the menu by the time we had sat down. Tables can be had located from the pavement where you can watch the busy Brighton Rd, through to the main area or to a lovely quiet room out the back, suitable for a long brunch/lunch natter.
The menu is diverse and interesting with an emphasis on fresh and healthy dishes which can be tailored to taste. I had a deliciously nutty flavoured quinoa salad with freshly prepared orange and carrot juice and my friend had a specially prepared vegetarian version of their breakfast special and a wonderful green kale juice.
The hot chocolate was excellent as they serve Mork's hot chocolate; really tops :) They are also known for the excellence of their coffee, attested to by my friend. And...
Read moreStopped by just after 11am on a Saturday morning. Staff were warm and lovely, and it was fairly busy with people eating a brunch or grabbing a coffee. It seemed many locals come by, as I spotted one of the gentleman working - who looked like the owner - chatting with some people. Great atmosphere and vibe in general. Good amount of outdoor seating and some seating indoors too.
Ordered an oat latte, then a smashed avo with sauteed spinach on the side. My usual order for brunch would have been with a side of smoked salmon but they didnât have this as an option unfortunately. Still a very fresh and yummy brunch. I was chuffed with the two poached eggs!
I spent about $37 approx for my brunch and coffee - with my oat milk, and the weekend surcharge - standard pricing.
Overall, it was a really nice experience. I will become a regular after morning appointments in the...
