In-Depth Review: Start of Service 10/5 *Greeted by the older man and served by the younger girl with glasses, both were exceptionally hospitable, friendly and professional. Very welcoming and approachable. Excellent job! Food 4/5 *Salmon On Rye: Fresh ingredients on fresh salmon, with cream cheese this was a great dish. 2 toasts could be included to bring more value. *Breakfast Gnocchi: Taste was great, all ingredients was fresh, however gnocchi pieces itself weren't many, probdbly about 7 pieces unfortunately, portion department could be worked upon *Banana smoothie was made with the right consistency and flavour. Delicious *Decaf latte was surprisingly good, made with skinny milk as well, you can tell a skilled barista is making it when the decaf still holds crema and the skinny milk can still be manipulated into latte art! Value 4/5 *Considering the space and sheer size of the Cafe, the playground in the side of the Cafe, the service and all around the food, its very high in terms of value, facilities, service and food! Atmosphere 5/5 *Lotd of natural air, very modern and rustic theme, situated next to Blackburn reserve, its a an excellent place for families with kids, dogs and the staff here are so friendly warm and welcoming, you will want to come back! End of Service /5 *

One of my favorite cafes to come with my young family. With 4yo and 6yo kids, I’m always able to enjoy a nice relaxing meal at Miss Lucy’s. Food: is always delicious and really reasonably priced. Location: is right next to Blackburn lake playground so kids can look forward to a park play after the meal. Park is easy, free street parking. Ambience: The cafe is wonderfully spacious, clean and really nicely decorated. Lots of seating both inside and outside. They have a spacious kids area with books, toys, colouring paraphernalia and a kids table inside which provides plenty of entertainment for the duration of a meal. Overall a really wonderful cafe, perfect for family brunches and mothers group catch-ups. Ps they also have a function room which would be perfect for hosting a family gathering, bday party or engagement dinner.

Honestly I've never been this disappointed about a cafe before. I came here a few months ago and it was really lovely so I decided to bring my family here for brunch today and that was a mistake. The staff seemed super stressed so I really felt for them but we were seated and given a jug of water and never received any cups or glasses, we did overhear someone else being told the dishwasher was slow so we accepted that there would be a wait but then other tables started to receive them and we never did. My iced coffee was great but in terms of food and drinks that's where it ended. Both my partner and I ordered food with "bacon" and eggs. Half of my partner's fried eggs ended up on his plate because they were so raw that a lot of the whites weren't even slightly cooked. The tea we ordered didn't arrive until a while after the meal and it was boiling and there was no milk but because we had finished attempting to eat our meals we didn't want to wait for it to cool down so we didn't end up drinking it. The "bacon" we both got was not bacon at all, we thought maybe it was thinly sliced roast pork but we don't really eat roast pork so we left it, I didn't end up eating a single bite of my meal. We thought maybe we misread the menu somewhere so we weren't going to say anything but when we went to pay the guy at the register asked us how our meal was. Again not wanting to make a fuss considering we thought maybe we misread the menu but we did say that we aren't huge pork fans and when the menu said bacon we were surprised with what we got. Oh my Goodness was the man at the register rude! He told us in a really scalding tone that it was impossible that we had pork because they don't serve pork which left us confused because if they don't serve pork and what we got wasn't bacon then what are they putting in their "bacon and egg rolls" and he told us it was beef. We paid and left, really furious after everything but thinking we must have misread the menu. We checked the menu and no where at all does it say the bacon isn't bacon. I'm not sure on what planet sliced beef can be called bacon. We essentially paid over $50 for the half of a meal my partner managed to eat and a single iced coffee and for some arrogant man to snap at us for being confused about their weird menu. I'm shocked and livid. I honestly wouldn't have even written this review if it wasn't for the attitude of the man at the register.

Unfortunately I have to say that this place is pretty overrated. I had the Philly Cheese Steak. The bread was hot and soggy like it had been microwaved and not toasted. The actual cheese steak was just ok, but pretty bland. My partner had the Potato Hash. Massive plate with 2 eggs, small potato hash and soggy spinach. UNDERWHELMING to say the least. Also, why advertise 'BACON' on the menu if it's NOT BACON!? It's actually BEEF BRISKET that they serve. Some religious thing, which is fine, but don't try and hide it. Just say that you don't serve bacon or pork products. Easy! And stop asking for 5 Star Reviews. They have a notice on EVERY table to give them a 5 star review, and that a 4 star review is still a 'negative review'. Passive agressive much!? You'll get 5 star reviews if you're worth 5 star reviews! In this instance...... sadly not. Sorry Miss Lucy. Maybe the kitchen was just having a bad day. The waitresses were fantastic though, and super polite and very friendly.

Decided to come even though I've seen a lot of negative reviews about this place. Rule of thumb, you should always trust people that spent their precious time leaving a bad review! Came all the way from Singapore I must say it was super disappointing with the type of potato hash they're serving. Super tiny portion with 22.90 and less than 8 mini mushrooms. I understand about the inflation but the foods quality was simply unacceptable. There's nothing special about the foods at all especially the overcooked baby spinach. Please don't bother to waste your time and calories on these distasteful foods. My partner ordered mushroom toasties and came in cold. This was the only cafe in Australia I've tried that gave me such a bad experience! I wouldn't have even given a star at all. If there's such option above. Super overrated cafe.

A HUGE thank you to Gazi and his staffing team for an incredible experience using Miss Lucy's function room. My family and I had dined here for brunch on multiple occasions from a recommendation, and every single time, the food, service and atmosphere does not disappoint. It is the ideal place with families with kids/babies. Gazi allowed us to setup in the function room prior to our booking and moved the tables exactly how we wanted. The staff he allocated to our space were attentive, prompt, and kind. Additionally, he allowed us to fridge two birthday cakes in their fridge at no extra cost. The room itself was beautiful and setting it up looked amazing in photos (the balloon coincidentally matched the feature colour of the walls). We highly recommend Miss Lucy for your next event booking!
