Hi 5 Chopsticks — Restaurant in Melbourne

We stopped by for dinner, just the two of us (we are big orderers) and between us had two San Choi bao in chicken and seafood, fried quail special, eggplant sambal main, special fried rice & and the Barramundi fried - all absolutely delicious!

Atmosphere is your typical local restaurant - but it’s service with a smile - and we called for service a lot as it appears we continuously ordered foods that required to be eaten with our hands and that means “more napkins please”. Haha

The fried barramundi was a particular highlight, tender and super easy to eat with lots of meat. Served with coriander on top in a soy sauce bath - so much flavour and crunch outside and juicy and soft and yummy inside.

All this and two cokes, and still only $100. Well be back. Hi5 to...

Went to this local gem in Moonee Ponds. Reminds me of this old school Cantonese restaurant when I grew up. Decor doesn't seem to have changed since it opened but the food and value for money was amazing. We came to Hi 5 chopstick for fathers day dinner and it was booked out. Our party of 5 which included 3 adults and 2 kids ordered a lot of the food on the menu. Most of the special seafood (lobster sashimi) and other unique dishes needed to be ordered in advance. We ordered 9 dishes in total and all not shown in the photo, plus x2 dessert and came up to far less than we expected. Will definitely...

We were in the area and googled restaurants near me. Thought the reviews were good so should try. But BIG M8STAKE AND WASTE OF MONEY. Disgusting food. Chicken stir fry was boiled chicken and veg and they just mixed it with sauce at the end. Portion was so small. Beef rending was disgusting in taste and colour. There was HEAPS of ginger pieces. It did not taste like rending.

Dim sims were small and and smelt like off meat. Salty...

Overall will not come again and not recommend...

I normally do take home if any left over but left everything...
