Excellent. We dined here as a party of three. The food is unashamedly Korean, it's very authentic. Some of the dishes took me a few minutes to get used to. For rxample, the Soon Dae had a texture that I found initially off putting (not being used to it) but after eating a few pieces, dipped in a pinch of salt, I enjoyed it. The pork soup arrived at the table boiling away. It took a while to cool down. The pork broth was very porky and initially seemingly bland. The menu does advise how to season the soup. This is standard, it will likely need to be seasoned to your taste. Salt, pepper and chilli paste is on the table. It took a few spoonfuls of chilli paste and a few shakes of pepper to get a good balance in the flavour suting my tastes. The steamed pork belly was delicious, excellent! Make sure you dip it into tge soy bean dipping sauce. Like Korean restaurants in Korea that soecialises, this restaurant has a limited number if dishes but thise dishes are excellent. There were two sides - amazing kimchi radish which was very refreshing; and chillis, which i forgot to taste. You can get takeaway if you don't finish everything (50cents for a takeaway conrainer - this is advertised on the wall in the restaurant). And you can order more sides (kimchi radish, and chillis) but if you don't finish it you do have to pay for it (or you have to pay for it if you order it - again this is advertised on the wall, make sure you confirm it). Service was excellent and easy (one of our party was Korean-Australian and fluent in Korean, so they ordered the food with ease and confirmed details). Price point was excellent. Food quality was excellent. We easily got a table at 5.30pm. People were queing outside after that waiting for a table. Get there early. Very happy we tried this restaurant. Highly...

📍Mr Lee's Food, Ringwood 100/10 Visit Again (You should too!)

I'm from Busan, South Korea where it's eminent for Dwaeji-gukbap (pork gukbap). It's THE soul food You'd literally see gukbap eateries everywhere you go. Naturally, I got to try all the different variations of gukbaps - both good and bad. So believe me when I say Dwaeji-Gukbap from Mr Lee's is truly one of the best ones I've had in my life.

This is THE place if you want to have that authentic gukbap experience in Victoria (I promise you. It's going to be very difficult to find a place that does gukbab better even within Korea). Perfect for a bitterly cold winter night, you just gatta get down to business and slurp down all that rich, milky rice soup. Pork was tender and tasted fresh.

That's not all. Even their Soon Daes and Pork Hok (Jok Bal) were ridiculously fresh, tasty, and flavoursome. Everything tasted super authentic, using the correct, fresh ingredients. PLUS, entire Jok Bal for only $30? That's just mad. Wash all that richness down with a shot of soju 👌 Lyfe is g00d.

I know some of you guys might be a bit sceptical and apprehensive as the menu doesn't look appetizing. But if you are into Korean cuisine (or Asian in general), this place is a must visit... Or don't! More for me LOL 🍲🐷

This was honestly the best pork hock I’ve ever had — insanely tender, juicy, and it just melts in your mouth with every bite. What really impressed me was the flavor — rich but clean, with absolutely no unpleasant porky smell, which I usually really dislike. Both the meat and the soup were so well-prepared that there wasn’t even a hint of that typical pork odor.

The spicy soup? Absolutely spot-on. It had just the right kick and saltiness to keep you coming back for sip after sip — super comforting and flavorful without being too much.

Every single one was delicious and clearly made with care. They weren’t your usual boring sides either; each had its own unique taste that perfectly complemented the main dish.

From the first bite to the last, everything just tasted right. The flavors were balanced, nothing felt overly seasoned or bland — just pure comfort food done right. Plus, the staff were friendly and welcoming, which really added to the whole experience.

Would 100% recommend this place, and I’m already looking forward to coming...
