Inhospitable, Terrible, Arrogant & Disrespectful. Never go there..
We had a very bad experience last Saturday (10th of Sep), when we made the mistake of going to Mr Biriyani for dinner. We were 12 of us and had called them earlier to book a table.
We were HUMILIATED by the staff, precisely, 2 of them. One is the manager of the store called Shivam and the other is a serving staff lady called Kesiya.
Firstly, we were offered a table at a corner where there was a toilet leakage with a terrible smell. When we complained about the smell and the leakage, Mr. Shivam wanted to spray the air freshener instead of moving us to another table. Hence, we moved to another table and grabbed the chairs nearby. The restaurant was relatively empty.
Mr Shivam noticed this and kept quiet until the food was served. He then makes a big fuss saying “You cannot take any chairs”, and made everyone of us return our chairs. He swapped them with a wooden chair. We didn’t make any issue at that time though we were humiliated in front of other people.
All our food orders came to our table after about a couple hour long wait and didn’t serve one of the biriyani. When we asked about this, Ms Kesiya (who is a serving staff), argued that it was already served. We repeated the order and then she confirmed that it wasn’t ready.
At the counter, while paying for food, we were expressing our disappointment with Shivam and he says that he isn’t sorry for whatever he did. We were deeply annoyed with his comment and asked to speak to the owner of the restaurant. Then, Shivam claimed that he is the owner of the restaurant. After a while, Shivam says that he is not the owner.
Now, Kesiya rudely interrupts our discussion and talks about some other customer hinting that our discussion is her waste of time. When asked, she rudely replies “No point in arguing…” and tells that she is speaking to herself. She insulted us.
She says that they are understaffed, but Mr Shivam says that they are rightly staffed for taking big orders. There is utter confusion between the manager and the staff.
Shivam also said that he didn’t inform us earlier about the delays in the food service because he would lose customers.
This horrible experience is our second time at Mr Biriyani. We had a very similar issue about 7 months ago.
The management of this restaurant is pathetic.
Because of this kind of service, the food leaves a bad taste.
In fact, the staff is insulting their own Chefs by providing this horrible experience to its customers.
We are about 20 families who have decided never to go back to Mr. Biriyani.
You would probably be better off if you are just a “take away” place instead of a full...
Read moreMy experience at this dine- in , take away restaurant was poor and appalling. I ordered Gobi 65 with Schezwaan noodles , both of which were not cooked as how I have eaten before. The floral beds of the cauliflower appeared to be old and was dipped in to a frying batter without even semi boiled. So it tasted raw which set off the taste in my mouth. I paid 16$ for this entree which not worth. Also, the schezwaan noodles ( chicken ) had no chicken in it and they have used frozen beans in it which were also not cooked. Moreover , the chair I sat in had its legs broken which if I had not known would have me ended up on the floor with a broken hip. When I enquired about this to the owner and the restaurant bearer , “ all they had to say was Sorry”, we didn’t know ? So if they didnot know won’t they be doing periodic checking of their furniture especially in a restaurant who holds parties and other events. We go to a restaurant for the dine - in experience : starting from welcoming of the customers, seating , presentation of food , tasty food and ambience. So , if I didn’t want this , I would stay at home to my preferences. Moreover, the audacity of the owner in responding to their shortfall was very poor. So I would never recommend anyone going there for a dine in experience with tasty food and the overall experience will be...
Read moreLast night we had a family dinner at this restaurant. The bar service was prompt and had a good range of scotch whiskies, beer, wine etc. We started off with Chicken 65 which was crisp and perfectly cooked. After that we indulged in Goat dum biryani, this was excellent, cooked to perfection with correct amount of spices, with good taste, texture. Following that we had Naans with Chicken shahi korma & chicken vindaloo. The chicken korma was delightful, went very well with fluffy hot naans. But the only dissappoitment and the negative point for the entire dinner was the -- Chicken Vindaloo! It lacked the vindaloo flavour/taste. It was too Sour. The dish was loaded with Potatoes & a few pieces of Chewy Chicken. I have eaten authentic Vindaloo in Goa -- India for many years. Authentic Vindaloo doesn't contain Potatoes and the meat is cooked very tender. so this was a real disappointment. (I wouldn't recommend this dish to anyone!) But apart from this, everything else was hunky-dory. The restaurant was very clean, tidy with good ambience & good staff. Also it was great fun to watch the orders (including the bill) being served by Robots! Two Robots were very busy ferrying orders to all the tables. I certainly recommend this restaurant to anyone who is after authentic Indian...
