I usually avoid writing negative reviews, especially for small businesses, but after multiple disappointing experiences, I feel compelled to share my thoughts. While the food itself isn’t bad, the service leaves much to be desired.

As a customer who lives around the area, I’ve visited this place numerous times. On three separate occasions, I’ve ordered and paid using their self-serve machine, only to be told later that the item I ordered is sold out.

One particularly frustrating experience happened months ago when I ordered the chicken holy basil stir-fry (no longer on the menu). After waiting for 15 minutes, a staff member informed me they were out of chicken. Today, I went in during lunch to order a chicken Banh Mi. After placing my order and paying, I was told it was sold out.

It’s baffling that they don’t update the system to reflect unavailable items. Instead, the staff’s response is, “Oh, you can pay more and choose something else.” This is unacceptable and demonstrates a lack of attention to customer experience.

I hope management addresses this issue, as it’s incredibly frustrating...

Homemade Malaysian food @samasama_hometown_delights is all about authenticity, taste, quality and variety. We loved everything we ordered here and can’t wait to go back again.

What we had:

Malaysian Hokkien Mee Noodles with prawns, Curry seafood laksa noodles, Chicken skewer with satay sauce, Fried prawn wontons, Milo drink Passionfruit drink

That laksa is so fantastic, irresistible and delicious. The spice level is just right and is packed with so much of flavours. Generous serving of prawns in it. Highly recommend this. Hokkien mee was equally mouthwatering and flavoursome if you like it spicy. Loved it. Must try.

Also the entrees were so tempting and delectable, loved the crispy wontons and the filling, so yum. Here’s the skewers were tasty too.

Every food that we had here is of good quality and generous serving size. The staff are all friendly, welcoming and very polite. You’ll surely have a...

I freaking love this place! Let me ask you a couple of questions! Do you like delicious flavourful heart warm food with generous portions? (Go to Sama Sama)

Are you a fan of spicy food? (Go to Sama Sama, they have the right options for flavourful foods that still have a kick! I am a spicy freak too)

Do you like service with a smile and cute plushies to try to win while you wait? GO 🙏 TO 🙏 SAMA 🙏SAMA!

I don't have any pics yet (the food so delicious they watch their hand while serving me!) I devour it so fast! I highly recommend the cheesy reaper chicken bites. Hotter than they sound they are sweet and light a nice heat in your mouth like a camp fire mid winter... But they do make other foods taste hotter 😁😁😁 ( I will update with pics soon, I am going back...

Wow wow wow! The Malaysian Indo cuisine hits the right spot after a long exhausting week at work. The chef here is excellent and has over 25 years of experience that is clearly felt in each dish. We tried a range of appetisers, mains and enjoyed every single one. Very affordable and located in Southbank, this is a perfect venue for a family dinner or even a weekend lunch with friends. The stand out dishes would be the fried rice, Beef Stir fry and Nasi Lemak! The pork and prawn wontons were also super tasty and a delight. Please note the restaurant also caters to other cuisines like Vietnamese , Indian Chinese and has a range of delicious milk Tea and dessert. Absolutely spoilt for choice here! Thanks for the wonderful dishes!
