My Rice Story — Restaurant in Melbourne

This little gem is so easy to miss as its in a laneway off the busy row off shops in Ivanhoe. To my surprise, it is now my favourite Korean restaurant in Australia :)

Dont be fooled by the location and decor. The food will surprise you. It will remind you of your Korean childhood that you never had, served by a wholesome Korean lady. It is high in quality and feels fresh. Other Korean restaurants have plasticky food, possibly using preservatives. This one doesnt.

The pricing is also very good for what they are serving. Just be wary this place is small and cosy, so you could probably only fit 1-2pax or 3-4 if you're lucky to get the bigger tables.

My partner and I have gotten food from here so many times! We only discovered it a couple of months ago, but it is a big favourite of ours now! It has good meat or veg (/vegan) options depending on what you need / feel like. We eat vegetarian 80% of the time, so this is really great for us! It is such good value, and so yummy. I love this place! I have lived in the area for 4 years and never seen it. I only found it recently and feel compelled to write about it. It is tucked behind the Ivanhoe Coles complex and not the easiest to find. However, it is such a great place! The Bi Bim Bap and Japchae are great.
