Today, I decided to treat myself to some delicious food from Nasi Kandar Penang in Springvale. I placed my order through Doordash, and I was really looking forward to enjoying their mouthwatering nasi kandar with fridge chicken, prawns, and roti canai. However, when I received a notification from the Doordash driver that my order had been delivered to my front door, I realized that my beloved prata was missing!
Feeling a bit disappointed, I immediately called the Nasi Kandar restaurant to find out what happened. I kindly inquired why my prata was not included in the delivery. The staff explained to me that they had run out of roti and replaced it with fridge chicken instead. While I appreciated their effort to substitute the item, I couldn't help but wish they had informed me beforehand. It's important for restaurants like Nasi Kandar Penang to communicate with their valued customers and let them know about any changes or substitutions in advance. By updating their menu in the system before customers place their orders, situations like this can be easily avoided.
Additionally, I was asked why I chose to order from Doordash instead of Uber. Well, let me clarify, it wasn't a question per se. As a customer, I have the freedom to choose where I want to order my food from. I simply made a decision based on my personal preferences and convenience.
In conclusion, I just wanted to express my thoughts and make it clear to Nasi Kandar Penang that it's important to communicate changes in the food orders to customers. By doing so, everyone can enjoy a smooth and delightful dining experience. And yes, as a customer, I have the right to decide how and where I want to...
Read moreToday, I finally have the time to write a review for my favorite restaurant in Springvale. I'm a picky eater and treat every dining experience seriously. One Sunday, I passed by this place right at mealtime and noticed it was packed with families. Knowing the truth that "a restaurant good enough to bring your mom to is surely a good one," I walked in. The front was lined with a wide variety of curries, and the friendly staff told me their curries are all popular. I bravely chose a mutton curry, and the portion size was enormous – a heaping plate full. The most surprising part was the price – only $12.8! A similar meal in the city would easily cost over $30. The taste was even more impressive. No joke, this was the most delicious curry I’ve ever had in Melbourne. The perfect blend of spices paired with tender lamb made every bite satisfying. It was so good that I made a special trip to eat here three times in five days, each time trying different dishes, and each time the flavors did not disappoint. Sadly, I had to leave after that week, but that friendly staff member, upon hearing this, gifted me a cup of Bandung. It was my first time trying this drink, and I loved it!
Anyone coming to Springvale for a good food journey without trying Nasi Kandar Penang would not have a complete experience. Highly recommend it to everyone who values good food and a warm...
Read moreRead for the best review Paid $33 for 5 different types of dishes and rice. Which is not bad but still overpriced for the portions. Then I ordered 3 servings of naan bread which came towards the end of the meal (in honesty if we ordered with our original order it could have come in good time) however it came late with 3 pieces of India gate frozen naan parathas cooked over a stove with a serving of sauce PAID $18 . Price is $4 a serve of one went to the counter advised the worker of this of what I believe as an error. Worker told me he charged for 1x nann and sauce x 3 serves = $18. Again I asked for naan only. The issue here is not the money but the principle behind it and running a halal restaurant. The menu says 1x naan = $4 1 x nann + 3 sauces =$6 And so on Do you see my issue, not only did the worker dismiss me like I don’t know better and played it as if I have ordered that but I also did not get my 9 sauces with my 3x naans.
I’m so upset I took time out to write this but this has probably happened a few times taking a $ here and couple $$ there beware.
By the way 50-100 pk of that bread is sold frozen for $5-10$$
Friendly neighbourhood...
