Nene Chicken Airport West — Restaurant in Melbourne

I definitely wouldn't go here again.

The service we received was lovely, which is nice, but being a food court, not a redeeming feature. The food was virtually inedible.

I ordered the chicken snack pack and my fellow diner ordered a burger.

It felt like neither of us got any chicken! I think only the scraps are used. I don't recall seeing the option for chicken breast anywhere on the menu. My first bite of a "chicken" strip contained only fat and other unidentifiable chicken parts.

The only reason these is a star here is because the sauce they provided (swicy) was soooo good, and the chips were nice. Being a chicken shop though, I expected that the main quality item would be the chicken.

Do not eat here, I repeat, DO NOT EAT HERE, Me and my mum got food poisoning after buying their Cheesy Mayo chips, I got to the bathroom 7 times and one of them took me 2 hours because I had the worst diarrhoea i've ever experienced, Went to the bathroom also because I feel nauseated and threw up a dozen times, I don't care if you think this is exaggerated, My mum feel dizzy and sick too after eating it, Just don't buy here, You're more likely to suffer from food poisoning, If you want to save yourself from throwing up and diarrhoea, Go to the Nene chicken in the CBD, They have higher quality than this one.

We used to like this branch until recently. Not sure if there’s been a change in ownership, but it definitely feels like it. They’ve now decided that flavoured chicken with sauce on the side is entered as original chicken with extra sauce (so they can charge the customer even more). We’ve never had this issue at other nene chicken branches so idk what’s going on here.

She also threw in a credit card surcharge even though we paid in cash and then acted like she didn’t know when questioned about it. Very dodgy. Sure, it’s just small amount, but it’s extremely dishonest to sneakily throw in charges when there...
