Red Rooster Airport West — Restaurant in Melbourne

Wednesday 27th March 2024, purchased a Flava Wrap Combo, started eating the wrap and figured the hard/crunchy texture to it was just the lettuce, only to spit out raw chicken tenders instead - needed to be cooked longer. By about 5pm that day my stomach was upset, didn't think much of it, by that night however not only was it more upset, but came with it a severe headache - yup it was food poisoning and only thing I ate that day was the food from Red Rooster Airport West. The next day I was constantly going to the toilet every 2 to 3 hours, then I would get the fever like chills and hot flushes. on Good Friday this was basically the same but came on more headaches that just didn't want to go, followed by being drained and dizzy due to not being able to keep fluids down and constantly going to the bathroom (dehydration). Saturday the symptoms started to come down and I was finally able to leave the house and do family activities as I am a dad of 2 kids, but still was getting the headaches and was still dehydrated and trying to recover from it. While almost completely back to normal it has taken a toll on my health and nearly ruined a good long weekend of time spent with family.

Cook your chicken probably next time, don't rush to get orders out, just do it right and prevent others from possibly getting sick from...

Ordered takeaway at the counter & was served by a young guy whose name is John, he was really friendly and helpful, & between him & Cody my order was ready to go asap, nice & hot with freshly cooked chips, couldn't ask for anything better Thanks guys 5th October Ordered at the counter & was served by Estelle, who was really friendly as are all the staff here at Airport West. John & Cody were there too, cooking & serving as usual, & taking the time out to say hello which was really nice. Everything we ordered was cooked to perfection, from the chicken to the sweet potato, crunchy potatoes, pineapple fritters & sub burgers. Cannot fault Thanks...

Only gave 1 star as have to give a star rating which should be 0 went through drive through no one took my my order. But I could hear the whole conversation that was going on feel sorry for the guy who had just rang in sick as they were bagging him. Never been to red rooster before so after driving round and beeping my horn to get service forgot the name of the order that I wanted but explained what was in it and how much it coast got home to find that the only thing that was the same as what I said was in what I wanted was chips.
