We went back on a Monday to try the "Pub Classics". After we had run the dog, we went to the North Port for lunch at about 1400hrs. As would be expected , there were only a couple of people in the front bar. Having the opportunity to look around the bar when empty just reinforced , for me, how well the past refurbishment had been done and how nicely finished it all was. We had the hamburger and fish and chips, not normal menu items for us, and they were very nice and tasty - and the "special" price made them good value for money. The lone barman was friendly, engaging and helpful. More people came in later during the afternoon. We had a great afternoon chatting and drinking too much and went home on the tram.! It all was a nice way to do it.

2.We have been to the North Port pub twice, on a Saturday and Sunday a week apart, for the roast. The pub location is great, for us anyway. We can tram it there with our dog, run him on the adjacent leash free park alongside the 109 tram line and then he can come in to the front bar of the pub and sleep under the table while we have lunch. The roast is not traditional as there is no Yorkshire pudding, brown gravy or cauliflower and broccoli . My wife really likes it but I am a bit indifferent. At $25 it just value for money, although the serving is generous. I think that this is a peoples pub with kids, ladies groups, horse gamblers, footy friends etc., there on the two occasions we visited. So, it has a comfortable atmosphere. It is quite a different feel to the more upmarket pub directly opposite across the tram line. The facility is clean and tidy and well presented. We are going back again during the week to try the "Pub Classics," specials between 12 and 4pm. I have deliberately not offered a view on the service as the jury is still out and I see that other reviewers have found the service to...

I am local to the pub and have not been ages due to work commitments, so when i finally got a Friday off, i decided to go again.

Firstly, service was amazing, especially from the guy who wore the Guinness t-shirt today. He was everything you would want from staff members in a pub…Well done.

When i looked through the menu, i looked at the price of the pie $37 and thought geez i def have not eaten out in a while if prices have gone up that much, so i stayed clear and went for the snitty instead. At first it looked smaller than previous ones i had, however it was definitely much thicker than the ones before. To my surprise, it definitely satisfied me and it was really tasty, cooked perfect and very tender. The salad that came on the plate was so delicious & i devoured the all of it as i usually dont eat salads oubs provide with parmas and snitz.

The kids had the burger and it was big and I reckon the best burger in Port Melbourne. You can smell and taste the amazing chargrill on it. The kids rated it a 15 out of 10 & 20 out of 10.

Drink prices were very reasonable compared to other pubs in Port.

I really enjoyed my family dinner & would definitely recommend the North Port for dinner & i look forward to my next day off dinner there.🙏

Keep up the amazing job you guys...

It's truly disheartening to see a couple of recent negative reviews surface for a local establishment like North Port Hotel, especially when my experiences, including last night, have always been overwhelmingly positive. As a regular patron, I felt compelled to share my perspective.

I've always received exceptional service at North Port Hotel and have consistently felt welcomed and well looked after. It's a place that genuinely prioritises creating a safe and inclusive atmosphere for everyone. It's also a very nice place for families to enjoy a meal or a casual outing.

Last night, I was there and witnessed a particularly loud group come in. Their behaviour was disruptive, and I can only imagine how challenging they must have been for the staff to manage. It's a testament to the staff that were able to accommodate such a group, especially given how busy it was.

I wholeheartedly recommend North Port Hotel to anyone looking for a friendly, welcoming, and well-run establishment. Don't let a few isolated negative reviews deter you from experiencing this fantastic local gem for yourself. Shaun and his team work incredibly hard, and they deserve...

Fish and Chips may be quintessentially British but it’s the Aussies who seem to have perfected yummilicious serves of it at the multitude of neighbourhood pubs. First class Fish & Chips at North Port Hotel Restaurant! Fresh Fish ☑️ Good crisp and light batter. ☑️ Chips that are crisp on the outside and hot and soft on the inside. ☑️ Yummy homemade tartar sauce with a good juicy wedge of lemon for the fish. ☑️ Heinz Ketchup and Malt Vinegar for the chips. ☑️ Note: There was some mushy peas too, hidden behind the fish in the pic. Decent enough but I’m not a fan of mushy peas. 🤣 Highly recommended. ❤️👍🏻👍🏻❤️ #whiskydev

The North Port is the most friendliest and welcoming pub. After moving into the area a couple of years ago we have been visiting regularly. The staff are amazing, the beer & wine selection is outstanding and the food is absolutely Devine. They do the best Sunday Roasts with live acoustic music and the weekly specials are out of this world! Hats off to the Chef & Team. The best part of it all is that we can also bring our dog Raff along who absolutely loves it just as much as us. We love the North Port and can highly recommend it to friends, families and dog lovers!

Was exactly what we were looking for in terms of fantastic pub grub. We came on a fairly busy weekday afternoon. It appeared they were short staffed, but this didn't mean their service suffered. In fact, it appears the attentive owner was actually serving and doing the waiting himself! He even acted as a semi-sommelier, recommending a really lovely Sangiovese to go with our steak. We were so happy to see a lively venue with great service in our stomping grounds! Bonus if the weather is warm, as they have set up a "Pub in the Park" right out front too.
