Previously called OZ kebab, now it's under new management with the new name OS Kebab. This OZ kebab was well known in Flemington and after a while they moved to Fitzroy North. The current owner is as funny and friendly as the previous owner. The previous owner did great job hand over to the new owner as the new owner still preserves the classic entertaining coffee tricks to new customers. Though, it's run by new owner but we didn't feel any different at all in terms of the atmosphere, vibe and taste of the food.
We ordered: Halal Snack Pack (HSP) for $16.00. HSP was served in generous portion. The lamb and chicken were perfectly grilled and well seasoned. The fries were served warm, crispy, crunchy and also well seasoned; It wasn't too salty and not oily or greasy. The proteins served (chicken and lamb) were not greasy either, they were tender and juicy. The taste was very delicous burst inside your mouth when you taste it.
Chicken Kebab with sweet chilli, Mayo, Garlic for $9.50. Nicely wrapped and as mentioned the chicken was nicely grilled and well seasoned.
Overall, we had great time having kebab here and it's considered as one of our favourites kebab shops. Recommended place to have supper.

Read moreIt should be noted before I start my review of the food and restaurant/stand, that I came here at around 3-4am, as just about every other kebab stand had closed by this time.
First thing I noticed when arriving was just the state of the place out front. Old, disused equipment, left to gather dust and mould. Just generally not a pleasant site to see when you are looking to eat something. However I was starving and it was nearly morning.
The man that served me was quite friendly, I was the only person there. I ordered a chicken kebab, and it took maybe 10 minutes or just under.
After arriving home and opening the foil wrapping I was pretty disappointed. The kebab was squished and had next to no filling (as seen in the picture). The filling that was there was however quite tasty. What didn’t help it either though, was the outer bread was quite tough, like it had been on the grill for far too long.
The ingredients are clearly up to par with most other kebab places around this side of Melbourne, but if they would just do a deep clean of the place, remove all the trash from the front of store and make the kebabs an actually substantial meal this place could be great.
Pretty disappointing, but was just happy to fill my stomach at such a late hour. Wouldn’t recommend unless they make...
Read moreThis place is outstanding. I ordered the lamb kebab with the lot + garlic and chilli sauce (as recommended by my brother) and I don’t lie when I say it’s probably the best kebab I’ve ever had. I wish I could have the feeling of that first bite over again. The pita was nicely toasted and provides a crispy, but definitely not chewy outer layer that is not too thick not thin. The lamb was cooked to perfection, juicy and full of flavour. The sauce was enough to satisfy, but not enough to make me feel bloated upon finishing the generously portioned meal. The salad was also crispy, fresh and delicious, and placed in the middle of the kebab to avoid any leak through the pita....
