Upon arrival, I received a warm welcome from a lovely receptionist, who I believe was the owner, and whose exceptional professionalism was on par with high-end hotels. After checking in, I was kindly walked to my room which added a personal touch, beyond havinga room key thrown at you. The room itself was well-appointed with a stove, dishwasher, iron, ample storage space, refrigerator, bathroom, and laundry facilities (located on the ground floor), as well as a private balcony. The only downside, beyond the control of the Melrose Apartments, is the proximity to a neighboring building that unfortunately attracts an undesirable clientele. However, after expressing my concerns about a ground-floor apartment, the gracious hostess reassured me about their comprehensive security measures and the property's generally peaceful atmosphere. Its quiet location is somewhat inconvenient, being distant from local dining options. There is, however, a shopping strip a 10-minute stroll away. Unless unforeseen circumstances arise, I highly recommend this reasonably priced...

Starting with amenities. There are none. Self contained kitchenettes, Not full sized but everything or almost everything is available. It certainly doesn’t fit the description of an apartment. Now everything is small and closed in especially the balcony. Tiny. Don’t ask about parking. There is none unless you want to pay for your compact vehicle to go into the rumpus room of the building. Now the biggest faux pas is the fact that the Victorian State housing blocks are right opposite the Melrose. This is great if you have selected the not free parking and you wish to make an insurance claim. The owner has issues with the locals. The proprietor has many issues with the truth. It has water views for certain if you are in the kitchen or bathroom. If you have caught on by now you should understand there are many misleading statements which simply are not true. Count how many you can find. Yup heaps. Now stay elsewhere if you value peace of mind. Oh and truth in advertising. Watching TV is a guaranteed way of getting a bad back. Beds are...

I had the pleasure of staying at Melrose Apartments for three weeks during the second Melbourne Covid lockdown.|I came across Melrose Apartments on Google when searching for temporary accommodation to escape horrendous construction noise that made staying in my home unbearable.|I couldn’t have been happier with the service (Thank you Lisa! You were incredibly kind, and a delight to interact with).|The location was fantastic: A lot of public transport options nearby; free parking; a short stroll to some fantastic cafes, restaurants and supermarkets; and Royal Park (just across the road) was an ideal location for my hour of permitted exercise!|I was really impressed with the cleanliness of the room, and the facilities available to me. The bed was very comfortable and the rainfall shower was great.|The room was very quiet and peaceful, and I loved that my balcony looked out onto a quiet tree lined street. |I would highly recommend Melrose Apartments to anyone looking for a great place to stay in Melbourne. I would literally live...

This place is absolutely amazing. Perfect for our needs. Comfortable bed, wonderful shower, clean. Well equipped and in a great area. One tram away from the center, a quiet area and for a fair price in my opinion. Lisa accepted us, we arrived around 10 am after a long flight and travel of over 30 hours. I let her know of this in advance and she managed to get us a room before regular check-in time around 3pm. That gave us such a soft landing in our honeymoon trip, we're very happy with this choice and recommend it. Keep in mind it's not a hotel with a lobby/bar or seating area, a boutique hotel with just the rooms. So in case your looking for something more eventful or lively, this might not be the place for you.

From check in to departure the experience was 5+ stars. The apartment was elegant, had everything we needed, the bed / pillows were comfortable, the bathroom was a good size with a double shower with a central shower head. The water pressure was great. Having the balcony allowing in some fresh air was a bonus. Hallways and entry were also clean & thoughtfully decorated to match the elegance of the apartment. An added bonus for us was the tram stop at Melrose (Mtrs away) took us straight to Little Bourke where we were booked in for the Titanic VR experience, so the location was perfect too. We would definitely stay here again!
