I have given this place chance after chance, and tried my best to be on the staff's side, but I can't defend it any more. The service here is absolutely atrocious.
I work nearby and have very few options to spend my lunch breaks in. I wanted this place to be my regular stop, but I find myself walking twice the distance to the 7-11 nearby rather than dealing with the service of this place and have my mood ruined for the rest of the day.
My orders are left on the counter and not called out for me constantly. I get a clueless look from the staff when I ask where my order is and they gesture to the counter, like it's my fault for not grabbing food off the counter myself.
When customers that ordered after me were served their order before me and I questioned it, I got a completely unapologetic and insulting "As you can see, we're very busy and things get mixed up." I've been going here for months now, and I barely get eye contact or smiled at. The owner has a huge attitude problem. It's the most unfriendly service I've gotten in the whole area.
The cherry on top was watching the owner's huge dog freely walk into the kitchen and be able to easily sniff benchtops. I'm now wondering how much dog saliva has been...
Read morePosted December 2021 Never again. I dared to comment on the music they had on Spotify that had expletives, suggesting it wasn't suitable for kids (opposite dog park). The staff were very oppositional but when I contacted the owner, OMG, she ramped it up, rude messages, derogatory and banned me, my dog and husband!! Try the one around the corner instead. PS the reviews on FB are from when previous owners were there and was called Paws for Coffee. UPDATE... The response from the owner is not correct. I did not go to any other cafes and complain, she got her wires crossed there and made a wild assumption. My dog and husband were definitely mentioned in her messenger response to me telling me we were all not welcome in the store. This review was made over three months before the owners response, perhaps she has a short term memory. I had been visiting this business for 2 years, had ordered during lockdown for special events, had promoted their business via regular posts on our apartment complex Facebook page to boost their business and had organised with the owner to hold a weekly morning tea group of around 10 people which was to start...
Read moreI have come here a few times as the company I work for brings the work utes next door to the autoelectrician there.
The brekkie foldover was possibly the best breakfast wrap/burger I've had, possibly best cafe breakfast. The hot chocolate could have been more chocolatey, but that is probably down to personal taste.
Staff have always been friendly and professional. It feels more like having a coffee at a friend's house than at a place with perhaps over the top customer service. After a long stint in hospitality I prefer the more casual feel that The Humble Goat has.
Being opposite a dog park they are VERY dog friendly, which is very obvious as there is often a beautiful large dog that is frequently in the cafe saying hello. I believe it belongs to the autoelectrician next door.
I don't come here often, but I have yet to be...
