Best take away food in Melbourne.

I’ve been going here for years, probably over a decade. Unbelievably cheap prices, fresh take away food made on the spot, and a super nice family who run it. I recommend the potato cakes which are some of Australia’s best. Even better: order an egg and bacon roll with cheese, a dash of salt and pepper, some fresh onion or tomato and ask them to put a potato cake in there for you - breakfast perfection! They also do fresh sandwiches and a whole host of burgers, fish and chips, or whatever takes your fancy.

This whole little shopping strip on Melrose is one of Melbourne’s hidden gems and definitely worth the trip. I tend to by my groceries from IGA, get my haircut in the arcade and order breakfast or lunch from this takeaway shop whilst I do my errands. Everywhere has an awesome community vibe and prices that literally anyone can afford. Tons of cute parks and spaces around here also to take the kids for a picnic once you have your food.

Place has died drinks are stored with a pot of old oil turned into lard very off putting had second thoughts of even eating what I ordered very unsanitary food conditions I must say Then when confronted they tell me how do you know what it is did you open it ? Didn’t need to open it can be seen straight through the lid and Sorry I’m not touching nothing that looks disgusting in your shop next time I’ll take pictures to prove how filthy your shop is Not to mention how sick I felt after consuming your food maybe I’ll call department of health to come give you a visit to see if your following food regulations correctly… But that’s okay I’ll pass on your information ASAP To D.O.H To insure nobody else gets sick eating your so called food But be careful because next time you could be serving a health inspector...

Been there for lunch. Worst experience in North Melbourne. We ordered fish & chips for two people. Had to wait because the oven was not turned on yet. Received a hand of 50cents coins as rest from a $20 bill. When we picked up the fish it was too smelly as we went outside to take a bit of fresh air. The fish & chips ended up in the first bin after 10 metres from the shop. Do yourself a favour and stay away from this shop, otherwise you may end up very well...
