Its a shame you can't give 0 stars as 1 star is too much in my opinion. Decided to venture away from home to try this place. We arrived, staff member pointed at our table from the bar and left us to make our way over. Sat at our table and waited for 20 minutes, I'm not exaggerating when I say we were ignored for those 20 minutes. Not one staff member so much as glanced in our direction. The table next to us was brought one plate of food in that time- tried to get the attention of the staff member and was unsuccessful. So after 20 minutes of no service, no acknowledgement we left. The restaurant was not even busy. Went to the competition and had a lovely meal. Won't be back here.
EDIT Updated after response from business: I didnt say in my review when we attended, nor was the booking in my name, so not sure how they can say 50 guests arrived at the same time. I can confirm we were the only people waiting to be seated when we arrived and like I said in my original post, the restaurant wasn't even that busy. When a staff member cant even be bothered walking you to your table, but instead just points from the bar, that was a red flag from the start. The 'excuse' from the restaurant has cemented the fact we...
Read moreHave to leave a bad review because of the spoiled chicken. I used to be visiting Oshima every week because their food were fresh and service was excellent. In late June I visited as usual and found my daughterâs chicken dumplings were pink color not cooked properly which had food poisoning hazard. I called the 24 hours nurse hotline, and spent three anxious days to check my daughter. The manger offered free drinks but we didnât return. Over two months we go back again, the fired chicken smells very bad.The manger explain they are using a new sauce. đ seriously? What kind of sauce smells like spoiled meat? My husband suggested just pay out without raising the issue and never come back again. I decide to speak it out. They offer us free meal but I think itâs unfair. Then I accepted the $25 cash back. I prefer a pleasant and safe meal far more than a $25 cash...
Read moreBeen meaning to try going here since it opened in early January 2024. Food choices are ample. Also has enough (I think) selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. Sushi Nigiri and Sashimi were average. Highly recommend the Wagyu Beef Steak and Beef Teriyaki which were really tender and tasty. You couldn't go wrong with the Tempura and Chicken Katsu as well. Desserts were nice, really liked the Black Sesame Panna Cotta. Portion sizes are based on the number of pax per table. We found the staff to be attentive (to us) though could be more perceptive towards other guests, especially providing the appetizers first before the mains (if they ordered the appetizers first.) Noted that staff are quite accommodating to customers' requests. All in all, we had a good experience and will come back again.
