Country Heart Cafe — Restaurant in Melbourne

Me and my friend came here , I wanted to try the corn fritter , but my friend already bought charcoal chicken from the nearby shop , so I ordered my foods from the menu and he asked the waitress if it is okay to eat him foods inside, the waitress said okay then she came back and told us that we can’t eat outside food inside. So my friend went out sitting in the street bench. I took my food out too and thought it would be okay to eat together on the outside table and there was no one else there due to the weather.

Another waitress came out and told us that the outside table is their property too and the boss is upset so we can’t sit there even though my friend did not use any utensils , he did sit on one of the chairs.

I understand that the cafe may own the right to use the street and set up tables and chairs , but does it to say other people has no right to use that space?

And as a customer , I am upset too.

Boss , you might be right to not allow other people sit the chair you own , but you are not kind , not nice to your customers.

A business man who is not a kind person , let’s see how long this business can go further.

And I am embarrassed for the waitress who had to say no after she said she yes . She was obviously a local girl who was trying to be nice but been scolded by the boss.

Won’t come back ever again for the experience...

My regular long term local cafe had a fall from grace, so the search was on for a replacement. I love my coffee and as I only have one per day, my caffeine intake has to be an enjoyable event. Appeared a futile search until a colleague reccomended Country Heart Cafe. Went along and had large flat white and the bircher muesli. Service was lovely, coffee perfecto, muesli tasty and beautifully presented. Greeted with a warm smile, jug of water and glass which is always a nice touch. prices are reasonable and generous serves. Some of the staff are lovely, but yesterday morning one staff member didn't listen to our coffee order (same coffee order since we started coming 2 months ago) and then she made me the wrong coffee, then blamed it on us for "telling her the wrong order". Again, my order has never changed in the 2 months we started coming here...

We tried not to mind that they forget what our "regular" order is every single time, but to blame her mistake on us and then lecture me on the difference between an iced coffee and iced latte (like I didn't know my own preference) is taking it a...
