Pasticceria Padova — Restaurant in Melbourne

I recently went to Campbellfield with a friend and on the way back he said lets stop and have a coffee and snack at a fantastic shop he knew of in Fawkner. When he turned off Sydney Rd and into Jukes Rd I asked him where the hell are we going, is this some kind of joke? He said just relax and be patient, we're nearly there and when he turned into Bonwick St I really began to think this was some kind of joke. I'm used to the great cafes in Carlton and St Kilda and here I am in the back streets of outer suburb Fawkner, sheees.

We parked the car and went into a rather unassuming cake shop called Pasticceria Padova. I am not kidding the smell was like I'd just walked into cake heaven and the place was packed with people. They just all seemed to know each other and the ladies and men serving were very friendly. People were ordering not one or two cakes but trays of beautiful and delicious looking freshly baked cakes. One lady picked up a special ordered cake. We sat at a table and ordered our coffee and I just had to try at least one cake. After the first coffee we had another and even more cakes. It was just all to good to be true! The cakes were amazing!

This Pasticceria Padova has to be one of the best if not the best bakery/cake shop that I've ever been to. The cakes are excellent and all freshly baked on the premises and the prices are amazing. They also make special celebration cakes and I saw a few walking out the door. The coffee is also great and the people are amazing, super friendly and provide excellent service, just all round fantastic. I had two coffees and quite a few different cakes and I also took a large box of cakes home with me! Everyone back home loved them, especially the Cannoli. I highly recommend Pasticceria Padova and it's no wonder that many drive from afar to get...

Random act of kindness! Padova Cakes is a family business who excel in making high quality cakes. They never disappoint. My dad’s 80th birthday cake topped them all. A 35 degree day which resulted in my cake melting and collapsing by the time I reached home.Totally stressed I called Padova Cakes and explained what had happened, by this stage is was after they had closed shop for the day. What happened next was remarkable. They not only calmed me down but they agreed to make me a new cake and deliver it personally to the restaurant. All I can say, is do yourself a favour and experience their wonderful selection of desserts but more so the family’s genuine wholesome nature. As soon as you walk in the door your greeted with a friendly face and smile the smell of fresh cakes fill the air the coffee is absolutely beautiful the best in Fawkner by far & trust me I've tried coffee from the other cafe's in the street & they don't even come close to the coffee here and the cakes omg wow you can taste the love that goes into every single one & I love the fact that everything is home made by this amazing family. So next time your in Fawkner I highly suggest that you pop in for a coffee & one of the many cakes & if you need a special cake made they can do that for you too there is also thier cafe in Gladstone Park where you can try the home made pasta, sandwiches and of course the coffee & cakes I really hope that everyone reading this tries this orthentic...
