I had an incredibly unpleasant experience at Patony Pizza. I ordered a $40 meal for myself and my friends intending to dine in at the restaurant. However, after placing the order and making the payment, I was informed that the meal I ordered was designated for takeaway only. To the best of my recollection, the menu did not clearly specify this. Despite only one table being occupied in the restaurant, I was denied the opportunity to dine in, which was highly disrespectful and left me extremely frustrated.

Upon leaving, we requested paper cups at the reception, as the deal included a 1.25L Pepsi. Unfortunately, we were rudely told that the paper cups, visibly placed at the reception, were only for customers dining in. This added to our dissatisfaction, and the overall experience was disappointing. I felt embarrassed in front of my friends, as I had recommended trying out this new place in South Melbourne. The food did not meet expectations either. Regrettably, I have no plans to return to Patony Pizza. The elderly lady at the reception needs to revisit the basics of customer service, especially coming from someone with firsthand experience managing multi-million dollar...

What a wonderful, low-key, no bullshit honest place. Great affordable food, great staff. We go there regularly just to have a peaceful, affordable and reliable meal. And you can watch MAFS on the TV, so stupid it's hilariously funny. And the walls are decorated with portraits of classic movie stars, which we have now all identified with Google Lens. They are a pizza place, but we don't eat pizza. I'm sure the pizzas are great, though. My favorite is their pepper steak, cooked rare to perfection, with roasted/pan fried veggies. And their side salad is so fresh and crisp, you feel getting younger eating it. Their quite affordable house red wine comes in a full glass, which I like a lot more than those pretentious huge glasses where a standard pour looks like the last sip left. My wife loves their sea food pasta, delicious and so much it's take home for another...
