Updated rating as issues appear to be addressed. Will update again next time I stay. Sub standard cleaning staff are very noisy and have no consideration for customers. Nice location but wouldn’t pay this much to be woken up by noisy cleaners yelling between rooms to each other 😡 Came out to see what was going on and the hall to the elevator was totally blocked by their equipment and trash. I hope this is addressed as I have stayed here many times in the past but the new cleaners they have are letting them down. If the hotel talks to the cleaning staff I’ll upgrade the rating and hopefully visit again.

Good close to city location. Easy check in but very poor cleaning and service of rooms. Stayed early May 2018 and room was generally tidy however the glasses, rugs and bed mattress were stained or dirty. When advised they were apologetic and made changes. However we had to ask twice to get the glasses fixed. They also had to be reminded to service our room one day. Overall a very worn out hotel that should be cheaper given the amenities and general state of carpets, linen, kitchen utensils and common areas. Better places available in this location.

please be aware that while this place is on an excellent location and very friendly staff, is not worth it due to the following surprise fee at the beginning of 100$ like an hotel( because it is, is not an airbnb), the room is outdated, dirty and in severe need of maintenance, curtains falling apart, mattess seems to have been found at a dumpster and carpet not even attached to the floor anymore. bathtub was dirty, and to top it all off the room wasn't serviced.

My friends and I stayed at this place for the ending of a work trip. All was fine at first, as the lady we interacted with on the desk when checking in and when we first arrived to drop our bags, was lovely. It turned sour when we went out for our evening, and all met in the lobby. One of our friends forgot something upstairs, so went back to get it. When she got in the elevator, she literally got stuck in it and it didn't move. Panicking, she called us to tell us, and was a bit freaked out. While she was calling on the emergency phone, we went to the desk and told them what was happening. The man there was COMPLETELY unhelpful. Literally seemed uncaring. He seemed like he knew what to do, but didn't want to. He asked what room we were in (why does that matter??) and then kind of stared at his screen for a bit. We again, asked, can you help??. He kept asking if we could call her again, but the calls kept dropping. He kept asking what lift and we kept pointing to the 2 that she went up in. He called one down, and said here it is....ummm. clearly it's the other that isn't moving? He then suggested we take the stairs up to our room, (ummm...what? How does that help her get out??) and then asked what the numbers were in the lift. She was asked the same on the call from the lift, and apparently they were for another address. Great. Finally, 10 mins later, she said the doors opened, but in between floors, and she crawled out, ran down the stairs to us, obviously upset. NO apology, no empathy. He simply didn't care. He should not be dealing with people. Period. Some kind of compensation would be nice. Nothing offered. Probably will never stay here again. Sorry. Get your lifts fixed. Considering how quickly the tech came to fix it seems that this happens alot? I get they break, fault, whatever, but the staff should get how scary it is to be in an old lift and not go anywhere or...

Stayed here for two night with my partner. The first impression of this hotel is not great. We brought our car with us so we used the parking the hotel had available. There is no lifts from car park area and you have to go through the fire escape to get to the lobby. The area was not the cleanest noticed a door labeled chemical storage was left open on more than one occasion during our stay at one point was left open all day. Was a little worried that guest would have full access to this area that could potentially be hazardous and have chemicals in it. Also for someone who struggles with mobility i struggle a lot with the stairs especially as some of the grip or black edge on the carpeted step is coming off causing me to slip and almost fall down. There is a bit of an odd smell as you get up to the area with the rooms (we were on level 1) but once in the room you could not smell it. The rooms are okay, the walls in the bathroom need a good clean especially near and around the toilet and near the floor. the shower is a bit hard to get in and out of especially for someone with mobility problems as there is nothing to hold onto as to get in and out, it looked like someone had tried to use the towel rack to hold onto as it was bent. The room was pretty clean but those curtains need a good clean! the couch has some sus stains on it. Other than that the room was okay. We had trouble getting in and out of the car park as or room key didn’t work and one point coming in late (around 12am) we were unable to access the car park at all we called the after hours number a few times with no answer and also the number off google and still no answer but eventually we were let in. The staff are friendly and helpful the pool area and sauna were okay the spa is hard to get into especially for someone with limited mobility. Probably wouldn’t...

Unfortunately, our stay here was far from the 4.5-star experience advertised. For the last three nights, our room was not properly cleaned (I understand 1 of the days staff told us that it was not going to be cleaned as it was told in advance, but the other days were no exception). The day that it was cleaned, housekeeping merely tucked in the bed sheets and replaced towels — no actual cleaning took place. The bed linens were never changed, the floors were never vacuumed, and the bathroom was left untouched. We had to repeatedly request basic essentials like toilet paper and towels, which was frustrating and frankly unacceptable.

We raised our concerns with reception multiple times, but each time we were met with indifference. It felt like we were haggling just to get the bare minimum service, and our issues were never resolved.

The condition of the room was another major letdown — walls were dirty with visible damage that had been neglected for who knows how long. The bathtub was stained yellow and looked like it hadn’t been deep cleaned in years. Every time we tell them how the room is, they just kept saying “we’ll raise this concern in our system.”

To top it all off, the parking situation was extremely dodgy. Accessing the alleyway to park was stressful, with an uneven, poorly maintained road that felt more like a construction zone than a hotel entry.

Additionally, why would you put signs up in the elevators to rate the hotel with a 5-star review to encourage guests to obtain a free coffee mug in doing so? I’d rather tell the truth about the hotel than put a fake 5-star review.

I don’t understand how this place holds a 4.5-star rating. Based on our experience, it doesn’t come close. Would not recommend. This was an extreme let-down and disappointment to our family trip. The only good thing about this hotel was...
