Pattysmiths Eltham — Restaurant in Melbourne

I usually order a small meal but i noticed the chip size was slightly smaller than advertised. ( small is a burger box size and larger is in a big rectangle box). I ordered this time a large meal expecting the large box thats literarily advertised in front of me and i even confirmed with the worker and they showed me the large rectangle box. After waiting for 30mins I walk over to look at the pickup counter and my food is in a bag i noticed being placed on the counter about 15mins ago. No one called my name or bothered handing me the food it was just left there?? How am i supposed to know it's mine and it's ready if i didn't go check the docket myself?. And to top it off the meal was exactly the same size as a small meal??? I didn't receive the large chips that were advertised and i felt extremely ripped off and disregarded when i tried to address this with the manager. Mohamed argued that this is the large size but it's literally false advertising and its exactly the same size as a small chips which is no more than a small hand full which is ridiculous considering how much i just paid. He angrily threw out the meal and made me a fresh one as it was so cold after being sat on the bench for 15mins. I also asked to get the difference for a small meal as i no longer want a large if it's exactly the same. Mohamed chose to hide in the back and tell the other staff member that he's too busy to come help me and refused to come out and give me my difference. Overall very unprofessional bad customer service, overpriced and the food quality is not worth it. I honestly wish i went to mcdonalds that day. Such a waist of time and money...

Worst dining experience of my life. As a vegetarian for 20 years, I take great care when ordering. Tonight, at Patty Smiths in Eltham, I specifically asked if the burger I was ordering was the plant-based patty, and the girl at the counter confirmed it was. Imagine my shock and disgust when I was served actual meat. To make matters worse, the staff member on the counter was too distracted by her friends hanging around the restaurant to care. The girl at the counter had zero customer service skills, and the restaurant was filthy with five bags of trash sitting inside when we arrived—should have been an omen.

When I brought up the mistake, not only was there no manager to address the issue, but the staff were rude and argumentative, unwilling to apologize or take responsibility. What happened to good customer service and owning up to mistakes? I'm so disgusted, and eating that food has made me physically ill. Avoid this place at all costs. If I could give 0 stars I would. No wonder this restaurant was empty in peak...

I just went to Pattysmiths for the first time and i am happy to say my experience was beyond what i imagined. I got the original patty smiths burger with a chocolate thick shake and my bf got an original crispy chicken burger combo. It was quite empty when we went in as it was the middle of the day but the atmosphere was still immaculate. The staff were very sweet and service was very good.Our food came out very fast which was a big plus to add on top of the amazing food. The burgers weren’t greasy at all and tasted amazing. My bf asked to remove some items from his burger and they did this which was another big plus to the experience. The chips were cooked to perfection with the right amount of crisp and salt.
