Read moreSo I love Phillippa"s Hampton and Hawthorn East - 5 stars there but just called the Armadale store today regarding placing an order/hold on a speciality item for a very special occasion my partner and I are celebrating. Firstly, the lady answered the phone with just saying "Armadale", ok no biggy, I just went forward with what I required. I wanted to place an order for a speciality loaf of bread that only gets baked on a certain day of the week - the olive bread. As I have a hair appointment for my function in Malvern on Friday the 20th of November, I thought I would just past the Armadale store to get the bread rather than drive to Hampton. As the bread sells out quickly, I wanted to place an order. When I told the lady the date she was very rude saying "no I'm not booking that far ahead just for one loaf of bread, call back the day before." So rude. There was also other aspects of the conversation in which she was very rude. I think I will just stick to the Hampton store and Hawthorn East stores because the ladies in there are lovely and nice. I should have got the lady's name. I called today...
Read moreThe bread itself is amazing however the customer service was terrible both times I was there which is why I am leaving this review.
I was served by David, who was giving me a lot of attitude for asking him a question about the bread. My partner has a soy allergy and so it’s important that the bread we buy doesn’t have soy. David didn’t know the answer and didn’t seem to actually want to find the answer. He huffed with attitude when I asked him to check if the bread had soy. We are living in a society where food allergies are everywhere. If I was celiac and couldn’t eat gluten would he give me the same attitude or actually take the time to help his customers?
On top of this the previous time I came I asked for soy free and the guy (don’t remember his name) sold me soy bread. Honestly you are working in a hospitality business you should know what ingredients go into your products.
Beyond disappointed with...
