I ordered a hamburger and chips today. To be honest, it was absolutely disgusting and I ended up throwing the whole lot out. The chips looked like it was not fried in clan oil and looked very dark with a faint odour. But the worst one was the hamburger. I took a few bites and saw that the meat was still pretty raw. I cannot believe that in this day and age it is so hard to find a shop that can make a decent hamburger. Surely it is not that hard to cook a piece of beef patty that is only 2mm thick. Very disappointed with this place. The food since new owners took over has really gone down hill. If you can't cook a hamburger properly or even something as basic as chips, then I suggest you find a new vocation. Unfortunately, the weather today is about 43 degrees and I just did not have the energy to go back to the shop and get a refund and show them their product.

This place is no longer The Island Fish & Burger. The new joint is something even better. Back in the Philippines, Potato Corner is this small stall you’d see below a train station or at a mall food court operated by a lone “ate” or “kuya” slinging french fries covered in different flavours of seasoning powder. Not this version. It’s a full-fledged fast food joint serving those funky fries, but now you get some awesome fried chicken and some decent burgers too. Friendly staff, decent prices, and quick service. Some recommendations: fries flavours go for ranch, sour cream, and adobo; fried chicken, get a 5-piece to share with a friend, ask for some extra gravy. If you’re really hungry, order up a serving of rice and again, some extra gravy.

No doubt, food & service are excellent. Except, they purposely left the main door open for some reasons and the birds came in to share the food with you 😞 plus, it was a bit cold when we were there so it wasn’t too pleasant. I would have wanted to try the halo halo, but eating something cold in an already cold place is not something I am looking forward to. Otherwise, this place is perfect not only for those who miss the taste back in the Philippines but for everyone to enjoy Potato Corner’s specialty - French fries with different flavours.

The Islands Fish and Burgers is my go to place for freshly made burgers with a reasonable price.

Quality of the meat (beef, chicken or fish) is exceptional for the price offered. And I'm always in for a treat as each meal is well prepared, cooked and served.

The chips that come with several meal orders are also made to satisfaction served hot and crunchy to complete my dining experience.

With any meal, I can be assured to have a full stomach and it still leaves my wallet happy with the amount I've spent.

Serving time might take a little bit, but you can't rush a meal when you know its being made with the best care and quality.

Overall, Islands Fish and Burgers never disappoints with all the orders I have had. And to top it off, the staff are super friendly and accommodating as well. ;)

The BEST fish and chip burger joint in uni hill. I'm very glad my partner and i randomly popped in one evening looking for a quick fix for dinner. We've been popping in every week since for takeaway night. The burgers are packed with flavour, fresh ingredients and are made very well. And when you're after a lighter meal, you can order a souvlaki, which are equally juicy and boast lots of flavour (you won't regret not buying a burger). They have a great menu offering high quality food and a variety of tea drinks (the taro milk tea is my personal go to), with very friendly staff ready to prepare it all. They are very helpful and accomodating and greet you with a smile every time. Simply put, i can't fault this shop in any way. I highly recommend them...
