Absolutely incredible! If you're in Melbourne and looking for the perfect place to create unforgettable memories, look no further than Public House. The staff are exceptional—friendly, attentive, and genuinely dedicated to making your night special. Especially the service we recieved from Louis, Smithers, Lucas and Matt. The service is top-notch, ensuring that every detail is taken care of, allowing you to relax and enjoy the experience.

The menu is a culinary delight, offering a range of delicious options that cater to every palate. Each dish is crafted with care, bursting with flavors that tantalize your taste buds. And the cocktails? Absolutely divine! Expertly mixed, they add that extra sparkle to your night.

Booking Public House for a birthday function was a bit difficult in the coordination process but was a great experience on the day.

Booking out the whole Courtyard space was really expensive, but I could see why on the day: it's a very popular space that can fit a lot of people.

The online booking tool works well and is easy enough to use. However, it was difficult to get in touch with the booking team at times. The phone wasn't usually answered and there's no way to leave a message, and emails were not responded to very quickly.

However, in the week prior to the booking, my call went through and all of my questions were answered with enthusiasm. On the day, we were let in easily and taken to our designated space, where our host was very attentive and helped kick people off our reserved tables if needed.

Even on a cold night, the vibe was great, food and drinks were good (although not many vegan options), and there were no issues from the other guests in the space. Our remaining guests also got a free shot at the end of the night, which was perfect for the midnight birthday countdown.

Don’t go, horrible customer service.

I was charged twice for a transaction. Upon noticing, I went over to the bar and spoke to the manager to notify her and asked for a refund. I asked her to go through the receipts as verification. She kept claiming the wrong double charge wasn’t there and even pointed me to the list of transactions on their screen. However I could clearly see the wrong charge on their screen and called her out for lying. She then finally called another manager to process the refund. This manager claims the error was due to a new ‘system’ they have. However, how can you blame it on a system when the previous manager and myself can see the same thing on the screen but that manager kept insisting the transaction I was challenging wasn’t there, yet I can visibly see the transaction I was challenging on the screen right in front of her. I literally called her out for lying.
