Booked a function here last weekend and basically everything that could go wrong, did go wrong. We put in a food order, were told we had too much so we reduced it, presuming portions must have been big. Ended up having a lot of people complain about a lack of food.

We were told we could play music from a phone, then found out on the night it was iPhone only. They supplied an iPad which kept cutting out and also died, they said they'd charge and bring it back out and never did.

We were supposed to have a roped off section of a public bar but the bar staff were serving the public from the roped off section the entire night. We also had to line up here to follow up on any of our concerns because our dedicated function person was also working the public bar. The room was way too hot and we had to keep asking air conditioning to be turned down. During speeches, could barely hear even with a microphone over the music coming through the doorway from the public bar.

We supplied cake which they agreed to slice and serve at 9.15. We followed up at 9.30 and it came out, unsliced and without a knife, at 10pm, after families with kids had to leave after waiting for cake after speeches.

We understand that things can go wrong so I called them to notify about these issues, which I put down to understaffing rather than any staff members fault. They offered us a voucher for dinner, which is no use because we are leaving the country but also a very insignificant compo for these failures at a nearly 5 figure function. They then said they would call head office and get back to me, which they haven't done.

Extremely disappointed with both the service on the night and the follow up. If considering a function booking here I would think again, you may see one or two of these issues most functions which is understandable but I've never had as poor an experience as this, very disappointing when it's a delayed wedding celebration/farewell party before...

I’m really not sure where to be begin regarding my experience at this venue on Saturday 2 April 2022 for a friend’s Birthday (table of approximately 12 people). I ordered a few cocktails to begin with which were nice, but quite expensive for about 4 sips (there’s not much to them). I then proceeded to order some oysters, the prawn roll and a glass of sparkling wine. The oysters came out about 15-20 minutes after the prawn roll which was annoying (as they were meant to be the appetisers). The oysters were nice but we then had to wait another 5 minutes for oyster forks and more vinaigrette, as we weren’t given enough for the amount of oysters we ordered. The prawn roll wasn’t great, and for $28 I was left gobsmacked as it tasted of nothing? I’m sure the prawns were nasty frozen ones as they certainly did not taste fresh and were tasteless - half the roll was left uneaten, such a waste! Other guests on my table ordered the Ora King Caviar and blinis ($80) and guess what arrived instead? Bellini cocktails!!! When we questioned what had happened to the caviar, we were told it was the last serve and was given to the other table by accident! Seriously, you can’t make this stuff up! I was extremely disappointed in the food quality and service, considering what we paid. I had high hopes for this venue but I will be recommending my friends and family to avoid Fargo and Co at all costs. Update 25/4/2022: don’t let the responses from management on these reviews fool you, they’re just for show. They just want to be “seen” as though they’re interested in rectifying the situation, when in fact they don’t care at all. I followed up with the manager Liam via email on 2 occasions, but nothing has happened? What’s worse than a bad experience? The manager then ignoring you! Really bad customer service, but I’m actually not...

DON’T GO HERE IF YOU ACTUALLY WANT TO HAVE A DECENT TIME! THEY WILL KICK YOU OUT FOR LAUGHING!

I'm going to share some positive notes before I smash them with the negatives. • Venue is nice • One of a few places that offer bottomless brunch. That’s all.

When I went here for a friend’s birthday, there was almost 20 of us, all paid upfront and were all enjoying ourselves. We were served the smallest “brunch” imaginable which lead to buying MORE food! Freaken scam! After 2-3 hours of sitting around and enjoying ourselves we all went downstairs and outside as nowhere upstairs is for smokers. As it was windy, an empty glass fell off the table and broke, some worker came to clean it up and stayed around the table to talk and joke around with the birthday girl. This guy was saying that he finishes his shift soon and that he was going to bring a bottle of tequila out of his bag upstairs to drink with my group after he’d finished his shift. We all laughed it off and an hour later that SAME guy was trying to throw the birthday girl out for being “intoxicated” when she WASN’T AT ALL! just laughing and enjoying herself SITTING ON THE TABLE. There was no boisterous behavior, no reason to be thrown out, she literally didn’t even get out of her seat to dance, NOTHING!… not to mention this tool wanted to drink with her anyway! She was so upset so I was asking this dude how he would even define an intoxicated person, he didn’t bother to speak to us and ran off to hide. The security guard started threatening us with a fine as a result of refusing to leave which was ridiculous… it just seemed like they were trying to clear the area to make way for new unfortunate customers. ANYWAY avoid if ya can because...

Love the vibe of the place in terms of decorations and music. Had a great atmosphere. Staff were amazing too! Food was great according to everyone else on the table, however myself and my friend who sat next to me ordered the vego options on the menu which was the brunch burger without bacon and the crispy avo salad. Brunch burger was very sad. Without the bacon it’s just the roll, bbq sauce, two eggs and two pickles which I imagine a lot of people remove. The crispy avo was better but very small portion side and the ancient grains that were added had no flavour or texture. Could definitely revamp their menu to be more accomodating without loosing the variety. Bathrooms were a nice design however had run out of paper towel very quickly and the stall I went into had a broken toilet paper dispenser which was odd. All of those things are pretty minor and honestly aren’t a big deal. The main thing I wanted to raise was the water situation. I understand the whole ideal is that you’re drinking bottomless cocktails but it took me asking 4 different waitresses over a period of 50 minutes to receive some jugs of water for the table. At no fault of the staff members, they were clearly very busy. I’d suggest maybe a water station where customers can access water themselves. If just seems irresponsible for the business not to be having water as an easily accessible option when they were so quick to bring more cocktails, beer and wine but seemed to forget the water each time. Overall, fun experience. They also have a great customer service/social media manager! I forgot to take any nice photos but this is the bathroom stall

Went for their bottomless brunch on Sunday from 1-3pm, $75pp. They had a variety of alcoholic slushies (e.g., strawberry, chilli mango) with fruit toppings and I liked their aperols. Slushies were self-serve and you also had to go to the bar to order your drinks, which would’ve been okay but we were seated at high tables and the high chairs were wired and curved in which made it really difficult to get in and out of. It’s a set menu for food which helps in taking away the decision-making but the food could’ve been better. Hashbrowns & bag of chips w/ caviar, waffle bites (overloaded in honey), the reuben board was nice but the flavours of deli meat / pickles / sauerkraut is not smth I would pair with cocktails, the chicken sandwich was a miss with cold chicken & avo/tomatoes and this combo was not what was advertised (reminded me of a school lunch), mango pancake also a miss. Was quite a sunny day and we didn’t have any umbrella covers at our table but they did put the overhead shade back on later when asked. Staff were nice and DJ played happy tunes. Overall an okay experience, but not sure if the food is worth the money you’re spending.

I wish that I had better things to say about this venue, but it was genuinely the worst bottomless I have been to in Melbourne and one of the worst meals I have had in Melbourne too. Today we had the bottomless brunch at Fargo. Our sitting was at 12pm and one of the only fresh things on the limited menu (the prawn roll) was already sold out. We ended up choosing the brunch burger - which consisted of a single egg, a slice of bacon and some bbq sauce on an oily roll with potato gems. It was absolutely terrible and we would have got a better breakfast burger at a fast food chain (they were also served on these silver trays that made you feel like you were in a cafeteria???). My partner got a GF bun and couldn’t get through a couple bites it was that terrible. The alcohol was watered down and many of our group commented you couldn’t even tell there was alcohol in the cocktails. Overall, we thought it was a complete waste of money and a real shame since we were looking forward to trying somewhere new.
