Good food, worst customer service experience. The staff (or atleast the one who served us) was extremely rude, unapologetic, and disrespectful. Not recommended at all.
Edit (Reply to the Owner's Comment):- If you consider a genuine customer experience “defamation,” that says more about your attitude towards feedback than about my review. Unlike what you claim, nothing in my review was false — it clearly mentioned good food but also terrible customer service, which is exactly what happened.
Calling my review “malicious” is laughable when it was written by someone who was actually present and experienced your staff’s rude remarks firsthand. None of us brought in outsiders to post anything — every review came from people directly involved. If anything, the suspicious spike of positive reviews right after ours is what looks manufactured, not our feedback.
And before you dismiss my words, perhaps check your own history: several other customers over the past months and years have complained about “rude” and “unprofessional” staff at your restaurant. Are all of them “defaming” you too, or is there a pattern you simply don’t want to admit?
I have no interest in damaging your business. My review is staying because it’s an honest reflection of what I experienced — and the truth doesn’t get deleted just because you don’t like it. As a goodwill, I will have all the other reviews we posted yesterday get deleted, but that wouldn't change the fact that your staff member serving us yesterday was rude, unprofessional and...
Read moreNot sure if I came at a bad time since I can see this place reviews highly, but was not impressed when I visited.
Firstly, the food was good. But I feel the ball has been dropped in other areas. In the interest of time I’ll list them:
Inconsistent cutlery on tables. Our table had insufficient spoons, knives and forks. For groups ordering separate meals, serve the meals all at one time. Don’t serve one-by-one. Pretty sure this is a standard in most places. Napkins. Buy them and put them on each table (easy fix!) Very confusing pricing. I’d recommend just removing the sides options entirely and just packaging them in with the meal (obviously adjust pricing to include the sides). Put a menu on each table Take people’s order in-person. None of this online stuff. I’m okay with completing an online order if the site is usable…but this site was not.
Again the food is great. The difficult part is already done guys! It’s just the easy stuff (basic restaurant essentials like cutlery, napkins, menus) missing. A bit of extra effort in these areas would easily take this place from a 2/5 to a 4/5.
Please don’t let this review go in vain guys. Easy stuff to fix,...

My partner and I visited Pyramids for the first time on Friday night. Ravenous and excited for new cultural delights, we went in and tried our best not to allow our eyes do the ordering - everything looked great. The menu is chockers with lamb items however, as neither is us eat lamb opted for the chicken and vegetarian options, going by the recommendations made by the cheery, hospitable and helpful lady. I believe she may be both the shop owner and the chef!
Two days on, I am still thinking about the food - it was that good. Between the two of us we wolfed down two chicken plates and a plate of ful/favourite beans. Absolutely divine wholesome, real food and cooked for their cultural palate (Sudanese + Egyptian) which is exceptional.
Be sure to visit Pyramids! We are definitely heading back there ensuring we place an order for their Mashiri (not sure if I spelt that correctly!) A day before; this is a dish made to share and one I am excited to try especially after the exceptional experience we had on our...
