Raph's Deli — Restaurant in Melbourne

I’m unsure if these reviews are legit but I made my way to Raph’s recently drawn in by the reviews. I was expecting something super since delis have been popping off around the area. I ordered the buffalo chicken and the pastrami sandwiches. Firstly with the buffalo chicken, the taste wasn’t bad but unsure why the chicken was fridge cold. Pastrami, bread was okay, quite small and felt like the quality of the pastrami was from a package at Coles. I wasn’t too happy afterwards and definitely wouldn’t be going back. I felt like I was robbed of my money.

Food was very good. I got the pastrami and all of the flavours were great but the sauce overpowered it a bit and I couldn't really taste the pastrami. The sauce tasted great though. The quality was definitely there so I will try a different one next time. The staff were very friendly and helpful too. Update: went back and had the roast beef sandwich. This was fantastic. Perfectly balanced, the side dipping gravy is a great addition. The staff are still very friendly and helpful....

The owner is the rudest cafe owner I've met. I asked if the music could be turned down (no other customers and early morning doof doof is not my thing). The owner declined rudely but seemed to not understand my request. Strangest thing was another staff member who was clearly puzzled and embarrassed by her boss.
