One of the best cafes I’ve visited so far and the atmosphere of streat, wow 😍 FOOD & COFFEE: I ordered the ‘Mochi Donuts’ and a soy latte and both items were perfect! The mochi donuts were so unique and so so good! The mandarins were such an amazing tart flavour, the mochi donuts had the absolute BEST texture (tbh i was afraid they might be soggy but they were so crispy on the outside and perfectly chewy on the inside), the miso caramel was such a unique and GENIUS combination bcs it was sweet with a slightly savoury umami flavour and the freeze dried mandarins were like honeycombs but 10000x times better! Truly one of the most unique, delicious and special brunch dishes I’ve ever had! The coffee was also phenomenal and one of the best I’ve ever had! It was brewed to perfection and had a perfectly nutty flavour and together with the creamy soy milk, I was IN LOVE! SERVICE: Service here is amazing! They’re really friendly and super chill. I also appreciated them not pushing for more coffee despite me staying there for quite abit ❤️ AMBIENCE: I usually am chill with ambience but I have to give them major props for their beautiful cafe. Even when you’re inside, you’re gifted with being able to see the beautiful garden that they have and they have free wifi so students, I fully recommend STREAT! Overall, I absolutely loved Streat and would definitely come back for their other dishes and their lovely cafe + service! It’s student friendly, has amazing food and phenomenal coffee. I cannot complain in any way. Collingwood is definitely an area with some of the best cafes I’ve ever visited and Streat is no exception!

I use to frequent Streat as often as I could for breakfast in the past; and having been so close I decided to drop in for lunch... Luckily I booked ahead as getting a table here at lunchtime is difficult at times Instantly we were greeted by bright smiling staff at the front of house and swiftly escorted to the table where I ordered a beer and food... it didn't take long for the food to arrive and as expected the food was delicious 😋 the dobson potato gnocci dish was exceptional! so was the fried brussel sprout dish with okonomi sauce! the spinach and ricotta sausage roll was delicious but it could have been hotter ...the pan fried brussel sprouts japanese style - 😋 yum! did I forget the chips 😋 the service was impeccable, everything neat and tidy the atmosphere was as expected - laid back kudos to everyone at Streat for doing such great work with the less fortunate 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 I recommend STREAT if you're in the Collingwood area

Tucked away in this street is a little café haven that's worth telling your friends about. The menu isn't huge but there were so many exciting options it took us awhile to decide. We all chose something different but soon there was only silence punctured by exclamations of yums and oohs. My Son in Law eggs was a buffet for the taste buds, from the tart pickled veggies and mildly spicy chilli relish to the fluffy roti, sticky rice noodle and of course the sensational eggs themselves. My friends totally loved their pork croquettes, Japanese breakfast bowl and corn fritters - we were the clean plates table. The courtyard feels relaxed, like we were chilling in someone's beautiful backyard. The whole space felt airy, bright and inviting.Staff were super friendly and even let us split the bill. Not the first nor the last visit.

It’s been awhile as a busy mum, I finally have time to post the comments. I want to say this cafe has a great courtyard, perfect for dogs and kids! Coffee and food are great and I want to highlight their service is spectacular! What happened was my little toddler dropped a favourite super tiny little drawing under the deck , one of the staffs ( a very genuine guy) who was so patient and tried different ways to get her drawing through the gaps of the deck lol . Finally he was a very great role model of how patience will work and he picked my daughter tiny little drawing via the gap of deck! Yay!! My daughter has learnt from him and sometimes she will mention this wonderful experience to me! Thank you so much! I appreciated your effort to help:) I will definitely come again!!

High quality food and coffee. Breakfast menu is somewhat strange and left field. It was a nice venture out to try new things and was good. I would of rather had a simplistic choice to the menu as well as the extravagant The menu doubles who with a interesting look into the consumption and waste stats. It was a really good read and was a great talking point The 4 star review is based off a personal reflection to the quality to food and coffee. The sit in size of coffee available is only one. Though, the one size fits all mentality does not fit in this scenario. And for the price for what seemed as a baby chino size was a real sour point. Overall, I would recommend, though, if out of the way travel exceeds 15 minutes, there isn’t a real point.

March 2024 It's still an amazing cafe. ______________________________________ This is a social enterprise cafe, meaning that the people who work here may be in training to get experience in cafe work. Not that you'd know it. The service is welcoming, friendly, and extremely professional. I am such a fan of this cafe. I've been 2 weekends in a row. My long macchiato's have been delicious. My first meal was HUGE! And so tasty. Today, I had crispy bacon (thank you) w scrambled eggs on sourdough. It was perfect!! There is an indoor area and a great outdoor garden area too. It's pretty special, especially on a sunny day. It is located in a quiet street in Collingwood with street parking. This place is a must visit.
