Every. Single. Time.
Here’s my latest in a long line of bad experiences in this particular restaurant. Arrived at the store on Thursday 17/7 At around 12.45. Waited a couple of minutes at the front of the queue before front of house gave me a polite “I’ll be with you in a minute”. I patiently waited a further six minutes before being served. This is expected at this chain as they are ALWAYS either understaffed or slow to get food out. I’ll add that although there may have been three or four cars in drive thru, there were only two ordering customers in the store.
A couple of minutes later I noticed that a sole takeaway bag had been placed on the counter. I pondered if it were mine but no one had gestured to me nor read out my order. It would not make sense to just leave it there if it were mine.
As several more minutes passed, no one had gestured to me or the bag so I presumed it was a delivery pickup. Finally, after another ten minutes, said server carries another order to a table behind me. On her way back I give her the ‘shouldn’t mine be ready be now’ look and she gestures to the bag of not so hot food on the counter. It has now been 19 minutes since I reached the front counter.
Now even if this staffer believed that they had caught my eye or attention (which they had not) there is absolutely no reason why they would leave one paper bag of lunch on an empty bench for ten minutes when its rightful owner is sitting roughly three metres away from it. From queuing up to food being ready on the counter was around ten minutes. But, and most annoyingly, the time from ordering to food being ready was roughly two minutes. This could have been somewhat of a positive experience at this store had the server made sure that I knew my food was ready.
I’m normally not the type to write negative feedback posts but enough is enough. I have had multiple poor experiences at this location, including a fourteen minute wait from ordering to receiving food and my average wait time in drive thru is eight minutes. Plus, I’m usually greeted with negative staff, bordering on rude, though this may have something to do with being understaffed.

Read moreI’m usually quite happy with the service at RR Taylors Lakes, but not tonight. I don’t usually give bad reviews but the service through the drive thru at 7pm Thursday night was not great and very childish. I gave my order and my order was not repeated back to me so l kept waiting at the speaker, finally she said was there anything else, l said no and drove down. She told me the cost, which was too much for what l ordered so l patiently repeated it, unfortunately l didn’t know the correct name of the meal, so she was saying kids but l didn’t understand what she said, so she repeated it a couple of times, finally my daughter said to me kids mum, she’s saying kids, l apologised to the server and said yes kids meals, that what l wanted. We parked to eat and we all opened our cans of drinks and we were all sprayed with soft drinks, she shook all 3 cans before handing them to us and the drinks were not cold. If this is what l have to look forward to for not understanding the server, l definitely will not be going back to this restaurant. Read moreI ordered through the Red Rooster website and they came a bit later than the website said but was sent an SMS letting me know. 10 mins late so not too bad. One bag was not stuck down properly so could have been opened but its fine. Ordered changes to 3 boxed meals to swap mashed potato and gravy to reg chips (option on the website) but got mashed potato and no chips not happy Jan. The chips that were in the boxed sets were warm and a bit soggy I think its more because travel time which is normal for delivered food so that's ok. I called them to let them know and they offered to give me replacement chips when I go in there next. Not sure when that will be but at least they were professional on the phone. The rest of the food was actually really good. I gave 4/5 stars even though I'm not over the moon about it because at the end of the day most of the food was great, and they admitted fault and did what they could to fix it in a professional way.
