Tried the Diced Beef with Noodles. It was delicious. The Noodles were al-dente. Perfectly cooked. It's the right size for a Beef and Noodles dish, like this. The Noodles weren't that soggy. Had a nice colour to them. It wasn't breaking up a lot, because it was perfectly wok-tossed. The beef was tender. More on the well-done side. But this is perfect, in terms of Asian cuisine, especially Vietnamese. Beef had a nice smoky buttery flavour. Definitely had a nice colour to them. But the highlight of this dish, was the sauce. It carries the Noodles, along with the beef, so it flows, without one being dominant than the other. The sauce had a lovely sweet and salty flavour to it. You can definitely taste the soy, kind of that dark or light soy. Balanced with almost that molasses-like flavour into. But it's well balanced. Definitely the thing that carries both of these things together. The staff, especially chef, was very friendly. This is my second time, and he knew exactly what I want. We had always walked past this place and decided to try it out after seeing several posters showing the promotional price on the door. No one was in the restaurant except us and the owner's family. We ordered the BBH and pork chop broken rice. Food was prompt, and that's all that was positive. The BBH didn't taste like BBH and was just like a watered-down bowl of noodle soup. The ingredients were terribly little, and even the pork trotters were sliced so thin. I know times are bad, but to charge $12 for it is just not right. A fairly disappointing meal considering the good reviews. The smoothies were delicious, however it went downhill form there. I had the spicy beef noodle soup which was alright but lacked flavour and the beef was mostly fat. My husband had honey chicken which looked delicious in the picture on the menu but he was served something that looked completely different to the picture. Chicken in batter on a bed of lettuce with plain rice. The chicken had the texture and slight taste of fish. One main also arrived before our entrée. No one came to ask how our meal was so we did not voice our dissatisfaction, but certainly won't...
