Rice & Noodle On Bay — Restaurant in Melbourne

Worst food I ever wasted money on. We ordered the curry chicken - which was a layer of water and another layer of oil. The chicken was not fresh, when I asked her if it was soup - she just pulled a stupid face.

We also ordered Nasi Goreng & Special Fried Rice, no surprise either - bland, old ingredients and tasted horrible.

Customer Service was appalling. She did not care that how horrible the food she just cooked and had no shame serving food, I wouldnt even feed my dog.

Had the laksa and it was incredibly disappointing. The soup didn’t have a lot of flavour. Specifically asked for gluten free, rice noodles only, and there were bits of egg noodle through it. Rice noodles were over cooked and soggy. It was served soup and ingredients separate which was a good idea, except it was dinner time and I obviously wanted to eat it straight away. Really nice family owned buisness. Seems it’s changed owners recently. Lots of new menu items. We tried the beef fried rice, Mee Goreng and the prawn and chicken dumplings and the prawn and ginger dumplings. Everything was really nice. Food was fresh and hot. Flavours were really good. Honestly, we are very pleasantly surprised. It’s a great new addition to Port Melbourne ( Bay Street) and we will definitely be returning to try out more dishes. Would definitely recommend to others to try it...
