We had a reservation at 1830 however mains were served at 2010. Although mains were still hot but wow what a wait!
When we asked why mains were taking too long, we were just told there's a bit of a delay. There's only four tables, one table with 3 people, one with 4 people, one alone and we were 6.
I would like to give a positive review for the staff with a name badge John who was really friendly, still smiling despite our frowns, and apologetic.
Because of the delay, we just entertained ourselves from what's happening on the floor. One, the staff Kat who's of either Indian or Sri Lankan descent looked after one table when they finished and wow what a generation it is, and I hoped it was caught on camera, she fixed one of the chairs by kicking it instead of pushing with her two hands, oh by the way they were empty-handed. Two, someone's been coughing from the kitchen, I can see from where we were sitting, there's only two persons moving inside the kitchen, both without masks - don't know who's coughing. Three, due to the delay that isn't our fault, we were never offered anything that can at least make our anxiety, anger or hunger ease. We asked for a discount but was denied without even asking their supervisor first. Four, they couldn't decide whether to turn the lights on or off as we were eating in darkness from where we were sitting, okay, in ambient lighting but when we asked for the lights to be at least turned on, they turned it on and off at least three times throw whole time we were eating. We don't know why, no one approached us to apologize or explain why the restaurant became a disco house.
It is my sister-in-law's mom's birthday and we could've ordered for dessert but we got scared that due to the delay, the wait maybe more than an hour for maybe the eggs for the cakes we will order will be coming from the actual hen from a poultry somewhere.
What a bummer to pay $400+ for getting anxious and hungry.
Our family were a usual customers in this restaurant because we loved the place, the food and the service. But I can say, not anymore- - no longer...
Read moreConsidering this place has all the visual appeal going for it - don’t be fooled. The food quality didn’t match the abhorrent price point. This is what we got for 4 people, 3 courses and $500. Started off pretty good with some cocktails and an entree which was satisfactory but nothing spectacular. From there it went downhill. When you choose a rib eye steak from the menu that says “from the grill”, you’d expect it to be cooked on the grill. Wrong! The steak was boiled, then seared on either side just enough to see the cross imprint, the meat inside was grey not at all cooked “medium” or “medium rare” which is what we asked for. This was the most outrageously priced item. You can’t charge top dollar for a boiled steak. When you order chat potatoes with garlic and rosemary you would expect the seasoning to be just that. Wrong again! It was just some unseasoned chat potatoes tossed in chopped parsley. Wrong herb my friends! And where’s the garlic??? We thought surely we’d be safe with dessert? No. Wrong again! Mango cheesecake is actually a mango jelly layered cake? Taste was 0/10. And the chocolate ganache was bitter but at least more edible than the steaks. The waiter (who I assume to be the manager) had zero people skills, mixed up our orders and failed to clean up empty plates and glasses from our table all night. Isn’t that hospitality 101? Apparently polishing cutlery was more important. To be honest, if he looked like he cared for our opinion we would have given feedback, but thought it best to share a review that will help others when they decide to go here for maybe … cocktails and...
Read moreMe and my family went here last night and had extremely mixed feelings about this place. The adult meals were great, and they accommodated to our dietary requirements, and the portions were good. The atmosphere and view were absolutely amazing and we felt very at home. At that point it was worth the money we spent, but now it gets bad. We ordered a kid’s spaghetti bolognaise, and a kids chicken nuggets and chips. We ordered the bolognaise without any garnish or vegetable chunks, and came to see there was giant bits of what what we made out to be onion and carrot, neither of which were on its ingredients on the menu, or stuck by what we ordered. Not only that it was smaller than the palm of a kids hand, and would barely feed a baby, let alone a tall ten year old. It was nowhere near worth the money we paid for it. So in the end we replaced the bolognaise with chicken nuggets and chips. Those chicken nugget and chips were fine, (although it wasn’t really chicken nuggets it was more like popcorn chicken, but that’s not really a downfall for me) but the other one had what definitely shouldn’t be there, and could be bad if you were allergic to it. It had a chunk of eggplant skin, and it may be a bit harsh, but it felt like plastic and was very off putting. The persons meal it was in also hates eggplant. If you were to go there, definitely don’t get the kids bolognaise, and if you can try avoid kids...
