Saigon Xua — Restaurant in Melbourne

We went to visit @saigonxua.springvale as @ieatblog advised it’s been slow like a lot of other places in Springvale right now! The Banh Xeo was so damn delicious and easily one of a #BMAfavourites - perfectly crispy and packed with pork, prawn and fresh ingredients - definitely one of the best I've ever had. They also had their special offal congee (they’re known for this!) - this was special to me, as I grew up eating this while my uncles drank beer and played cards in the background, so it brought back a whole host of childhood memories.

This new cosy restaurant is a new gem adding in Springvale good restaurants collection. The food is clean, well presented and tasty. Especially, the congee and pork skewers are made with special recipes which are different from the other restaurants. A big extra plus is service, staff are really friendly and fast. Although the menu has not been fully developed (which always find in a new restaurant) ,it enhances the curiosity in me to see more yummy food which this restaurant can offer in the future. Plain but intimate cafe. Run by a friendly young mom and dad. You can feel, taste and see food is prepared with care. Top marks for that. Egg ingredients were listed in a few dishes so vegans need to be mindful. They will take your order in person but appear to be geared towards online ordering for both takeaway and dine in. Prices are somewhat cheaper than restaurants of comparable food quality, hovering around $15-$18 for mains, but these days I am taken aback by how much it costs...
