I recently had the pleasure of dining at Salero kito, an authentic Indonesian Nasi Padang restaurant, and it was a true delight for my taste buds. As soon as I entered, I was greeted with warm hospitality and the enticing aroma of aromatic spices that filled the air.

The variety of dishes they offer is simply astounding, and each one is a celebration of flavors and textures. From the tender rendang beef to the fragrant gulai curry and the crispy fried chicken, every bite transported me to the vibrant streets of Indonesia.

The flavors were rich, complex, and perfectly balanced. The spices used in each dish were skillfully combined to create a harmonious symphony of taste. I was particularly impressed with the rendang, which was tender and bursting with layers of bold flavors. The sambal chili condiments provided the perfect amount of heat, adding an extra kick to the meal.

The ambiance of the restaurant was cozy and inviting, with traditional Indonesian decorations adorning the walls. The soft music playing in the background created a soothing atmosphere, perfect for enjoying a leisurely meal with friends or family.

Salero kito is a true gem for those seeking an authentic Indonesian dining experience. The Nasi Padang they serve is a tribute to Indonesia's rich culinary heritage, and the flavors will leave you longing for more. Despite the slight delay in service, the warm hospitality and remarkable dishes make this restaurant a must-visit for anyone craving an unforgettable taste...

It's the best Indonesian Restaurant in Melbourne CBD. The best taste, the best in price and the best customer service. The foods both Padang Food or Indonesian Food are worthed to try. You can go thru all bain Marie menu (padang food & all yummy . hard to decide which one will go onto your plate) . We ordered Indonesian food from the menu. They are all made fresh by order. We got grilled lamb ribs. It's very generous portion considered it's served with fresh salad and curry on the side ( only $15 ). The lamb ribs was so tender and falling apart so easily without loosing the taste. We also got very generous portion of Soup Iga ( beef ribs soup) served in hot clay pot with potato and vegetables. Honestly it's enough for 2 person to eat with rice. Super big portion and only $18.Nasi goreng is one of the best. I can tell the Chefs must really put their heart to cook this perfectly hay wok Nasi Goreng. Spicy but not hot just like in my hometown. Tahu isi ( tofu filled with vegetables) is a good start. Made us more hungry and thinking about what else to order. The interior and dining area setting is another point plus of this place. After all. It's hidden gem that you need to find and keep coming in because all their food is really worth to try . Will never be bored . I will just coming here than cooking my self at home. Saved my time, saved my pocket but left my...

One of the best Indonesian/Padang Restaurants in Melbourne, every time we dine here it always hits the spot. They recently moved to a new location 9 Rose Ln, Melbourne VIC 3000 so make sure you check it out! • Plenty to choose from either from the bain marie or cook to order but both are delicious. Here is what we ordered: ⭐⭐Sate Padang ⭐Chicken Fried Rice ⭐Ayam Pop ⭐Soto Betawi ⭐Beef Ribs ⭐Variety of Ice Pops • "Sate Padang" is a must-try here, delicious beef tongue skewers, cooked in a complex spice mix and grilled to perfection. The gooey yellow sauce was finger-licking good. This is truly Padang food at its best 😋 • We also tried their version of Ayam Pop - chicken pieces that are cooked in aromatic spices, seasonings, and coconut water and then briefly fried in oil. We loved the flavour and the chicken meat was tender enough for us, perhaps we would the chicken meat to be cooked slightly more oily. Make sure you ask for the sambal (chilli oil) to go with the chicken 😋 • Beef Ribs was also delicious, love the tender and juicy beef ribs and it paired really well with the warm rice - recommended. • You can also try Soto Betawi & Chicken Fried Rice if you're looking for something different and new. Both are recommended! • Overall, one of the staples here in...
