I ordered Pad Talay from this Restaurant via Uber Eats, and I have to say that I was VERY, VERY DISAPPOINTED!! The description on the menu says, Prawns, Squid, Barramundi, and vegetables. What I got was 2 small overcooked prawns, 4 small-med pieces of calamari, and 2 scallops that were smaller than a 10c piece!! 😳 There was NO BARRAMUNDI at all!! As for the "vegetables," they consisted of a few strip's of capsicum, strip's of onion, and two small stalks of bok choy (no leaf, hust the stalk)! There was no broccoli and no carrot! The portion size can only be described as "Entree size" at best!! The container wasn't even ½ full!! This was an absolute RIP-OFF for $32.90!! I recommend you give Siam Terrace a BIG MISS unless you want to over-pat and under-receive!! To say I am disappointed is an understatement!! I am actually disgusted!! APPALLING PORTION SIZE!! After eating my meal, I was still hungry ... and I'm NOT a big eater, its simply that the portion size was TINY!! 😠 If you want great Thai food and value for money, I recommend you order from Boronia Thai!! You will get a FULL container of food, with a variety of vegetables, and plenty of your chosen protein!! I can usually get 2 meals out of one order!! You won't be feeling hungry at the end of your meal if you order from Boronia Thai!!
I will NEVER order food from Siam Terrace EVER again!! Absolutely...
Read moreHaving been regulars for many years at Siam Terrace, it was disappointing to hear that the establishment is under new owners. Nevertheless, wanted to continue to support local businesses in Boronia. Here is my honest and constructive feedback: ● Decor- A fresh vibe has been injected into the place with an attempt to provide a more sophisticated experience. ● Service- Friendly and attentive. However, the food took a while to come out. ● Food- This was the biggest disappointment. Despite hearing that they have retained the original chefs, the food definitely did not have the same flavour as previously. The panang chicken curry was extremely mild (even somewhat bland), the sauce was very thin and lacked the rich coconut flavour. The portion sizes were also less than desirable. With only one size available for steamed jasmine rice, you would need to order a seperate rice for each person. ● Value for money- Whilst the prices generally haven't changed, the portion sizes have and thus unfortunately it doesn't have the same appeal as it once did. For example: $4 for one small piece of roti, whereas you use to get two large pieces.
Overall, if you are a new customer and haven't been here before then it is worth trying and giving it a go. However, if like me you were a loyal customer of the original Siam Terrace then unfortunately I think you will end up being quite...
Read moreSiam Terrace is one of a number of the Thai restaurants in Boronia, I think it would be best described as the fancy one. I do not mean that this is the best, however if your planning on a nice cosy dinner for two, and enjoy a touch of style and a little bit of inner city vibe to help your food go down, I suggest you give it a try. In a slick surrounding and with staff that really know that good service means, Siam Terrace serves up some really fine fare on any night of the week. Also good for group bookings, (you should really book in advance), Siam Terrace does a great range of Thai cuisines, and caters to the vegetarian and vegan of the group with ease. The pumpkin fritters as an entree are good for a coconut infused snack to warm the tummy up before the main meal. I really enjoy the cashew nuts stir-fry, with the mixed vegetables and tofu for a main, or you could have any of the curries they have on offer. Siam terrace also does take away deliveries to the local area. I highly recommend you give them a try.
I hope you found my review...
