This used to be my favorite Greek restaurant in port melbourne , I buy lunch here frequently when usually when I’m Working from Home, almost since the place opened , and all through pandemic I’ve even written FB reviews claiming it to be one of the best souvlaki’s in town , posting pics and raving about the authentic taste I went in tonight to have my favorite lamb delight to be told they’ve run out of lamb, alternatives were offered chicken or pork , I chose the chicken . At no time was I told that this was a whole new taste and menu item . I assumed they would just switch out the non existent lamb for chicken and it would be just as yummy , no it wasn’t , it was a disgusting mix of sweet chili sauce and mustard drenching the chicken , tasting like something Weird American diner combo , When I asked the guy behind the grill who had served me , he retorted “you should have read the menu ,” Not impressed .Who expects chili and Mustard on a souvlaki when you’re just switching out the meat because there was no lamb left .. , this experience has left a horrible taste in my mouth literally. . After scraping out the slimy mess inside I was left with a pitta and chips … Not...
Read moreOrdered the pork wrap.. Taste overall was ok. Meat in fact looked more like lamb.. Guys please pay more attention to the quality and quantity of how you prepare your wraps. It is situational sometimes but in this experience and with a $25 incl. delivery of a smallish sized wrap you put in there literally 3 small pieces of chips.. at least pay attention to putting bigger pieces of chips in there if you price your wraps over $20...the customer is paying you and expect to be served with their food preparation accordingly and be fair. Hardly any tomato quantity either.. as usual. Nothing like home as they say. Meat again was too much shaved into tiny pieces. Friendly reminder to take more care of customers. You delivered fast, but I would've preferred if you took longer and took more care in how you prepared the wrap. Good taste though like I mentioned. Just some constructive feedback - I know your food is generally good...
Read moreJust had lunch at this little Greek joint and honestly, it was exactly what I needed. Ordered the mixed meats pita with salad and wasn’t disappointed.
The pita bread was fresh and warm - you could tell it wasn’t sitting around under heat lamps all day. They loaded it up with three different meats that were all cooked perfectly. The lamb was tender and had that proper chargrilled flavor, the chicken was juicy without being dry, and the pork had a nice bit of seasoning that didn’t overpower everything else.
Portion size was generous without being ridiculous - I left satisfied but not uncomfortably full. The staff were friendly and efficient, got the order out quickly even though they had a decent lunch rush going. For the price point, this place delivers solid, honest Greek food. Nothing fancy, just done right. Already planning to come back and try their...
