Tried ordering a sushi platter for the first time for my wife’s birthday tonight at Soho, after much hesitation since there are so many sushi shops in the area. With just a few suggestions, the lovely owner designed a beautiful sushi tray that exceeded my expectations. She even let me sample a few pieces of fish and sushi rice. The fish was incredibly fresh, and the rice was perfectly chewy with just the right amount of vinegar—not too sour.
