express my disappointment following a poor experience at your Southland Shopping Centre location on 5th July 2025 at around 1:38 p.m.
I ordered a vegetarian salad with falafel for my partner and a six-inch falafel sub for myself. As a vegetarian, I clearly and politely asked that my sub not be toasted in the same oven tray as any meat-based items, especially chicken.
Despite my repeated requests, the staff member Jordan, who identified himself as the store manager, placed my sub in the same oven tray as a chicken sub. When I objected, he insisted this was necessary for “efficiency” and claimed they couldn’t run a business by using separate trays or ovens.
However, at the time, the store was not busy at all. There were only three customers in total—myself, the person ordering the chicken sub, and one customer waiting after me. There was no rush or time pressure, making the excuse of “efficiency” completely unjustified.
Jordan was rude, dismissive, and unwilling to listen, even after I calmly explained my dietary needs. His attitude made me feel disrespected and uncomfortable.
I accepted the sub only to avoid wasting food, but the experience was unacceptable. I expect Subway to respect dietary choices—whether based on ethics, religion, or health—and to train staff, especially those in leadership,...
   Read moreNot a great atmosphere- the entire time I was waiting in line myself and the other customers had to listen to the individual (Jordan) who was in charge belittle another worker (Tobias). Extremely unprofessional and inconsiderate to the other worker Tobias as he was being told everything he was doing was “stupid” and “wrong”, when the poor boy was giving it his best during the busy lunch rush. I myself have many years experience managing busy subways and this is not someone who should be In the leadership position! Jordan was displaying poor team work, poor productivity, and poor hygiene practices (wiping nose with arm whilst sniffing, wiping his face whilst wearing gloves and preparing online orders. I seriously think you need to do some professional training with leadership roles on subway academy and not allow these individuals to have power trips and degrade other workers! It was quite obvious the targeting towards Tobias from Jordan as the other staff member Lee made a mistake with my BMT and did not receive the same attitude from Jordan.

   Read moreAppalling service provided by 2 young female staff when I visited the place last month who clearly weren't keen to be working and looked frustrated when we and another 2 people walk in to the restaurant about 50 mins before they closed. To begin with - the frowning attitude shown was clearly no welcome and to top things up, they got our orders wrong as well as charged for an extra sub that we didn't order.
I had to point out their mistake and then they decided to refund for the incorrect amount charged. To make things worst - I provided a feedback to Subway via their website and was contacted by Heather Morris, Area Manager who indicated on looking into the matter & offer a voucher for the bad service received.
To add to the insult, no further action or contact was made and upon following up with Heather; she just indicated that she will pass on the details to the store owner and till date I've not heard back from them.
